In accordance with the regulations of The Government Commission of Religious Confessions and Public Enlightenment from 1817 parsons of parishes laying on the area of the Polish Kingdom were obliged to present to the dean, and he in turn to the bishop, the report of proceedings (the report) so called ‘the examination’ of elementary schools twice a year. In the school year 1822–1823 in 14 out of 17 existing parishes of the deanery of Siewierz of the Diocese of Cracow (no data from three parishes) – 26 elementary schools functioned. Teachers who worked at these schools fulfilled their tasks in different ways. Their work had an influence on benefits which children had from attending schools for four years. However, pupils were frequently called away from school-duties by parents, there was no fuel to heat rooms of schools, and diseases of children caused that they seldom and only some of them managed to learn reading, writing, calculating, and religion.
Podręczniki do historii -50 lat zmian◆ O dpowiadając na tak postawione pytanie należy powiedzieć, że w dniu dzisiejszym podręczniki do historii są zupełnie inne niż przed 50 laty, ale nadal toczy się dyskusja nad problemem, jaki powinien być podręcznik do nauki tego przedmiotu, bo celem współcze-snej edukacji szkolnej pozostaje kształcenie młodego pokolenia, które bę-dzie umiało korzystać z wielu różnych źródeł wiedzy dla różnych potrzeb. Ponadto zmiany polityczne zapoczątkowane w 1989 roku spowodowały wprowadzenie istotnych zmian w formułowaniu celów nauczania historii, a także w doborze i strukturze treści tego specyfi cznego środka dydaktycznego.Rozpatrując podjęty temat, zwrócono uwagę na następujące kwestie: reformy strukturalne polskiego szkolnictwa a podręczniki do hi-1) storii, poglądy na role i funkcje podręcznika do historii, 2) cele nauczania wytyczone w programach, 3) struktura, dobór i układ treści, 4) badania prowadzone nad podręcznikami, 5) obudowa dydaktyczna, 6) zmiany wprowadzone do podręczników wydanych po reformie 7) szkolnictwa z 1999 roku.
The issue of parish civil status records has been an object of research for both historians and genealogists. The literature concerning this issue is quite wide, but many resources of such records have not been worked out yet; records from the Roman Catholic parish in Gołonóg coming from years 1808–1912 belong to the group. They contain a lot of information concerning inhabitants of the area of the Dąbrowa Basin; they contain not only their names, surnames and dates of birth-baptism, matrimony or death, but also where they lived and their social rank was in the contemporary society of the Dąbrowa Basin. News presenting a lot of events form life of our nation in the 19th century can also be noticed in the registers. The author presented them on the basis of birth-baptism, marriages and deaths certificates of her own 19th ancestors from families: Teper, Jurczyk, and Glimosa. The families which have inhabited and belonged to the Gołonóg community parish since four generations.
