A general‐purpose browser for directed graphs is described. The browser provides operations to examine and edit graphs and to generate a layout for a graph automatically that minimizes edge crossings. Two layout algorithms were implemented. A hierarchical graph layout algorithm was found to be best for directed graphs. The graph browser also has facilities that allow it to be integrated with other applications (e.g. a program browser). These facilities and our experiences building a program call‐graph browser are described.
Porthole die extrusion has a great advantage in the forming of hollow section of aluminum alloy tube. The proposed paper aims at the development of an extruding seam square tube of AA7075 high strength aluminum alloy by simulation and experiment. There are several factors related to extrusion load such as: billet temperature, billet dimensional, flow stress, die cavity and product geometry. The extrusion loads and die stresses for a hot extruding square tube of AA7075 with respect to different product have been investigated. This study used DEFORM 3D software based on finite element analysis to simulate two different types of hollow extruding die configurations in the square tube extrusion process, namely: Type I welding position at the corners of the square tube and Type II on the side faces. The welding strengths of these two kinds of extruded tube are studied by expanding test and tensile test. The die life of these two extrusion die components are studied based on the die stress and die wear information. The results of FE analysis are compared with those experiments.
This paper presents a solution to the Grand Challenge using CQELS (Continuous Query Evaluation over Linked Stream), a general execution framework to build RDF Stream Processing engines to answer continuous analytical queries. It provides an efficient execution architecture whereby incremental computing algorithms can be implemented to boost the performance. Our experimental results show strong effects of the implemented approach as CQELS outperforms a base-line implementation which recomputes on every incoming input.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
