RESUMO A doença de Ménétrier, também conhecida como gastroenteropatia hipertrófica perdedora de proteína, foi descrita primariamente em 1988 pelo médico francês Pierre Ménétrier. É uma condição rara, que afeta 1 em cada 200.000 habitantes. Mais comum em adultos entre 40 e 60 anos, tem potencial maligno se não resolvido precocemente. O objetivo deste artigo é relatar um caso de paciente com doença de Ménétrier com sintomas inespecíficos. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: gastroenteropatia, doença de ménétrier, cirurgia.
RESUMO O hepatocarcinoma ou carcinoma hepatocelular (CHC) é o câncer primário do fígado, ou seja, o câncer derivado das principais células do fígado - os hepatócitos. Como os demais cânceres, surge quando há mutação nos genes de uma célula que a faz se multiplicar desordenadamente. Essa mutação pode ser causada por agentes externos, como o vírus da hepatite, ou pelo excesso de multiplicações das células, como a regeneração crônica nas hepatites crônicas, o que aumenta o risco de surgimento de erros na duplicação dos genes. O trabalho descreve um caso de hepatocarcinoma primário de lobo caudado pouco comum e com tratamento de escolha ainda controverso. Através de relato de caso foi acompanhado um paciente internado aos cuidados do Serviço da Cirurgia Geral do Hospital Norte do Paraná - HONPAR, no mês de julho/2017. O paciente portador de Hepatite B, com queixa de fadiga, cansaço aos pequenos esforços, e vertigem intermitente de 1 ano de evolução, paciente assintomático em bom estado geral, apresentando aumento de Alfa feto-proteína. Impressão Diagnóstica da Tomografia Computadorizada realizada no dia 17/05/2017: Nódulo hepático sugestivo de lesão primária medindo cerca de 4,1x3,5x3,4cm no lobo caudado, sendo realizada uma Segmentectomia Hepática. Concluiu-se que um componente crítico no desenvolvimento de um plano terapêutico para os doentes é o reconhecimento de que os pacientes cuidadosamente selecionados podem ser submetidos a tratamento agressivo com prognósticos excelentes, mesmo se tiverem fatores de mau prognóstico.
