Plasmonic Nonlinearity
In article number http://doi.wiley.com/10.1002/adpr.202100218, Martin Mittendorff and co‐workers investigate the origin of nonlinear terahertz absorption in micrometer‐sized graphene disks. Exploiting polarization sensitive pumpprobe measurements, thermal and nonthermal contributions are disentangled. When illuminated resonantly with circularly polarized radiation, the electrons start to move in circular trajectories, inducing a magnetic field perpendicular to the surface of the disks.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
