Die Entwicklungsdynamiken des 21. Jahrhunderts unterliegen weitreichenden Transformationen, die neue gesellschaftliche Herausforderungen implizieren. Bildungsträger stehen vor der großen Herausforderung, alle Beteiligten auf ungewisse Veränderungen vorzubereiten und sie müssen sich demgemäß transformieren, um eine nachhaltige Wirkung erzielen zu können. Insbesondere sind Lehrpersonen herausgefordert, mit Ungewissheiten und Mehrdeutigkeiten in Schule und Unterricht umzugehen. Dies verlangt, dass Lehrpersonen selbst Ambiguitätstoleranz aufweisen. Die Aus-, Fort- und Weiterbildung von Lehrpersonen hat sich der Entwicklung dieser prospektiven Kompetenz zu widmen.Der Beitrag illustriert dazu Hintergründe, Ziele und Messinstrumente des empirischen Forschungsprojekts „Zur Förderung von Ambiguitätstoleranz in der Nachhaltigkeitsbildung“ dreier Pädagogischer Hochschulen in Österreich. Es werden theoretische Dispositionen der Nachhaltigkeitsbildung im Kontext des didaktischen Konzepts der Grünen Pädagogik und Überlegungen zum Konstrukt der Ambiguitätstoleranz diskutiert. Ferner ermöglicht der Artikel Einblicke in die Entwicklung der qualitativen und quantitativen Erhebungsinstrumente, zur Durchführung des Pretests und thematisiert erste Ergebnisse der empirischen Untersuchung.
Das NECTAR-Projekt (New EduCation Transition in Agroecology and Rurality, 2021–2023) zielt auf die Erforschung von Synergien und die Implementierung der länderspezifischen Bildungskonzepte für die landwirtschaftliche Berufsbildung in Frankreich (CEZ – Bergerie Nationale) und Österreich (HAUP – Hochschule für Agrar- und Umweltpädagogik). An HAUP, der Ausbildungsinstitution für das Lehramt an landwirtschaftlichen Schulen und CEZ, der Schulentwicklungsinstitution für landwirtschaftliche Schulen in Frankreich wurde jeweils ein konstruktivistisch fundiertes Bildungskonzept für Nachhaltigkeitsbildung entwickelt. „Grüne Pädagogik“ (HAUP) und „Pédagogie fondée sur la transition“ (CEZ) fokussieren unterschiedliche didaktische Wege für den Umgang mit heterogenen Lerngruppen, zielen aber beide auf die individuellen Lernzugänge der Schüler*innen ab. Beide Konzepte sind in den Lehrplänen der landwirtschaftlichen Schulen in den jeweiligen Ländern verankert. Die Möglichkeiten der Umsetzung sind für die Lehrkräfte somit sehr relevant. Mittels Hospitationen in Teams mit Lehrerbildner*innen, Lehrpersonen aus der Praxis und den Schüler*innen an jeweils drei Schulen in Österreich und Frankreich kann die Umsetzung der pädagogischen Konzepte erforscht und reflektiert werden.
