La obesidad es un problema de salud, por ser un factor de riesgo en enfermedades no transmisibles, que son de mayor morbimortalidad en el mundo. México ocupa el segundo lugar mundial en obesidad y, de manera particular, el primer lugar de obesidad infantil, siendo un problema de salud pública por su magnitud y trascendencia. El objetivo del presente ejercicio de investigación, fue determinar la consistencia en las intervenciones educativas con una delineación en nutrición y actividad física, realizadas en México para la prevención del sobrepeso y la obesidad. Es un estudio documental descriptivo, mediante la revisión de artículos científicos utilizando el enunciado clave en español e inglés: “Intervención educativa nutricional en México” en el aparato de búsqueda Google Académico. Los datos se registraron en una matriz de doble entrada, identificando la correspondencia entre objetivos, metodología, resultados y conclusiones. Los resultados de la revisión muestran suficiente evidencia para recomendar la implementación de intervenciones educativas en el ámbito escolar orientadas a la prevención del sobrepeso y la obesidad en México, sin embargo, estas intervenciones están concentradas en el norte, centro y occidente del país.
