Los métodos de pago son una forma de facilitar al consumidor en el proceso de pago en relación a la adquisición de un bien, producto o servicio. Por ello, la presente investigación analizó los diferentes medios de pago y la manera de cómo estos influyen en el comportamiento de los consumidores una vez finalizada una compra. Se tomó en cuenta al sector automotriz del Ecuador al ser bienes duraderos y su relación con las principales formas de pago. La metodología aplicada fue de enfoque cuantitativo y alcance correlacional, a través de un modelo estadístico de análisis factorial. Los resultados denotaron una alta carga factorial en el acoplamiento y el esfuerzo justificado, los cuales indican mayor incidencia en el comportamiento de los consumidores en función al método de pago y el logro de haber obtenido dicho bien. Se concluyó que, la forma de pago influyó directamente en el comportamiento del consumidor, puesto que, la experiencia de compra es un factor primordial que se evalúa en función a experiencias pasadas y la satisfacción post-compra es un comportamiento que deriva del método de pago.
