The purpose of this study was to comprehend the meaning of the humanized childbirth experience for teenage parturients. Phenomenology was adopted as the way to achieve the essence of the phenomenon. Eight teenagers who were assisted at the Sofia Feldman Hospital--a philantropic and non-profit-making institution--Belo Horizonte/MG--Brazil--have taken part of this study. Field work and open interview were the proceedures used for data collection. The study made it possible to seize three categories of analysis: Prechildbirth/Chilbirth--the body is being controlled. Prechildbirth/Chilbirth--a combination of pain and pleasure; Humanized Childbirth--expected and desired care.
Objective: to analyze the health vulnerabilities in adolescence associated with socioeconomic conditions, social networks, drugs and violence from the perspective of students. Method:cross-sectional study with 678 students between 14-15 years old in Contagem, Brazil. A selfadministered questionnaire divided into modules by subject was used. Quantitative, descriptive and stratified analyses were performed by sex. Results: high percentage of adolescents (40.4%) were beneficiaries of Government financial support called "Bolsa Família" and 14.6% had a job, 57.1% and 23.6% had tried alcohol and tobacco, respectively. We identified 15% of aggression and 26.7% of bullying. The majority informed they never/rarely talk to parents about the daily difficulties (64.5%) and 22% reported insomnia and/or feelings of loneliness.Conclusion: the results indicated that there is a need to intensify educational activities that seek to develop cognitive, affective and social skills aimed at improving the way adolescents face the vulnerabilities, in these activities, nursing has a fundamental role.
Estudo de natureza qualitativa, parte da dissertação de mestrado intitulada "Vivenciando a gravidez de alto risco: entre a luz e a escuridão". Retrata como se dá a relação entre os profissionais de saúde de uma equipe interdisciplinar de atenção ao pré-natal de risco e as gestantes que frequentam esse serviço. Participaram do estudo 16 gestantes que estavam sendo acompanhadas no Pré-natal de Alto Risco da Policlínica Municipal da cidade de Divinópolis/MG. Na busca da compreensão do fenômeno em estudo, este trabalho procura descrever como a mulher recebe o diagnóstico de alto risco na gravidez. As narrativas mostram como a gestante adere à nova situação de risco e ao tratamento prescrito; revelam quais são suas reais necessidades e como assimilam as orientações e os cuidados disponibilizados por uma equipe interdisciplinar e multiprofissional na atenção ao pré-natal de alto risco.

RESUmEnObjetivo: Comprender las experiencias vividas por los profesionales de salud de la atención primaria con la Libreta de Salud del Niño en el cuidado a la salud infantil. Método: Estudio cualitativo de abordaje fenomenológico del que participaron enfermeros y médicos de seis equipos de Salud de la Familia de Belo Horizonte, MG. Fueron realizadas 12 entrevistas no directivas, guiadas por dos preguntas orientadoras. Resultados: El análisis comprensivo de las charlas posibilitó la construcción de tres categorías que señalan las experiencias vividas por los profesionales con la libreta. Las experiencias revelaron dificultades que se derivan de las limitaciones de conocimiento acerca del instrumento; el hecho de no rellenar en la libreta las acciones de los distintos profesionales que asisten al niño; los enfrentamientos cuotidianos del proceso y la organización del trabajo de los equipos; y el desinterés de las familias con el instrumento. Conclusión: La investigación apunta caminos posibles y necesarios para mejorar la utilización de la libreta como instrumento de vigilancia integral a la salud del niño. DESCRIPTORES ABSTRACTObjective: Understanding the experiences of health professionals in primary care with the Child Health Booklet in child health care. Method: A qualitative study with a phenomenological approach, in which participated nurses and doctors from six teams of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) in Belo Horizonte, MG. In total, were carried out 12 non-directive interviews, using two guiding questions. Results: A comprehensive analysis of the speeches enabled the construction of three categories that signal the experiences of the professionals with the booklet. The experiments revealed difficulties arising from the limitations of knowledge about the instrument; incomplete filling out of the booklet by many professionals that care for children; the daily confrontations of the process and the organization of work teams; disinterest of families with the instrument. Conclusion: The research points possible and necessary ways to improve the use of booklets as an instrument of full child health surveillance.
