Arthrosaura reticulata (O´Shaugnessy, 1881) is reported from two localities in Mato Grosso, Brazil. It represents the first state record for the species, extending its known distribution in 830 km southeastern of the southernmost record in the state of Amazonas and 470 km eastern of the state of Rondônia, the southernmost record of the species.
