Ermittlung der Benetzbarkeit von gesinterten Oxidmischungen der Systeme CaO–MgO–SiO2 und Al2O3–SiO2–CaO durch eine hochlegierte Eisenschmelze mit rd. 20 % Ni und 25 % Cr zur Simulation der Verhältnisse bei der Stahlerzeugung beim Kontakt zwischen Schmelze und feuerfester Zustellung. Aussagen zum Einfluß der Oberflächenrauheit des Oxids. Erörterung des Verhaltens exogener Einschlüsse aus den untersuchten Oxiden in der Schmelze.
Messung der Oberflächenspannung von Reineisenschmelzen und von legierten Stahlschmelzen mit 16 bis 25% Cr und 5 bis 20% Ni nach den Verfahren des ruhenden Tropfens und des maximalen Blasendrucks. Erörterung der Einflu ßgrößen auf Meßwerte. Abschätzung der Tendenz zum Aufsteigen von MgO‐, CaO‐, ZrO2‐, MnO‐, SiO2‐ und CaS‐Einschlüssen im flüssigen Stahl.
Die Korrosionsgeschwindigkeit von CrNi‐Stahlguß Typ 18/9 und 18/13 mit verschiedenem Kohlenstoff‐(0,035 − 0,12%) und Siliciumgehalt (etwa 4%) wurde in Salpetersäurelösungen mit Konzentrationen von 27‐96% sowie mit Zusatz von Cr6+‐Ionen im Temperaturbereich etwa 25‐100°C untersucht. Dabei wurden auch mechanische Eigenschaften und die Struktur der genannten Stahlgußsorten bestimmt.
Es wurde festgestellt, daß im Falle von Salpetersäurelösungen mit einer Konzentration von 80% und höher bzw. niedriger, aber mit Zusatz von Cr6+‐Ionen die Anwendung des CrNi‐Stahlgusses mit etwa 4% Silicium‐ und möglichst niedrigem Kohlenstoffgehalt erforderlich ist. Die Ergebnisse der Laboruntersuchungen wurden in der Industrie bestätigt.
