This paper presents possibilities of simulating composites materials in SolidWorks environment and selected aspects of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) design and manufacturing process (real airplane model was used in Air Cargo Challenge 2013 competition). First part of article contains informations about types of composite materials, mechanical properties and their structures. UAV wing design process is presented as multistage task. Next part of manuscript includes numerical analysis which deals with two cases of composites structures: laminates and sandwich composites. Differences in values of displacement and principal stresses (P1, P3) were shown in considered structures based on equal boundary conditions. Final part of article deals with development of manufacture process.
This paper presents the concept of a novel telemanipulator for minimally invasive surgery, along with numerical analysis to validate the main system performance. The proposed kinematic structure consists of a passive and an active module. The passive module is similar to the Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm - SCARA robot. The active module is based on a parallelogram mechanism. The results of the numerical study are discussed, focusing on the influence of geometry parameters of the kinematic chain on the displacement accuracy of the end-effector. In particular, the paper deals with the identification of the main factors that impact the position accuracy of the robot.
The article presents the process of designing a technological line for transporting and packaging vegetables using a parametric 3D CAD system. On the basis of calculations, individual components of the device were modelled. 3D models of standard components from 3D parts libraries and manufacturer's portals were also used. The designed stand, intended for mounting on a mobile platform for harvesting vegetables, is characterized by a simple construction. It consists of a conveyor for transport of vegetables and a framework that makes it easier for employees to pack products. In this project, ergonomic aspects were also taken into account. As a result of the activities based on the design process carried out with the use of CAx tools, a comprehensive stand for packaging vegetables has been proposed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
