Context. The problem of automatic verification of the legitimacy of the export of works of art is considered. Objective. A method is proposed for automatically determining the age of a painting from a digital photograph using a classification that is performed by an intelligent decision-making system. Method. It is proposed to use the attribute of picture year of creation as the main criterion for making a decision during the customs check of exports legitimacy. Instead of a long and expensive museum examination, photographing works of art in customs conditions and processing photos using a set of descriptors is used. The set of descriptors is proposed, include local binary patterns, their color modification, Haralik’s texture features, the first four moments, Tamura’s texturt features, SIFT descriptor. The data obtained as a result of descriptors action give the values of several dozen private attributes. They form data vectors, which are then concatenated into a generalized object description vector. In the feature space thus created, automatic classification by weighted k-nearest neighbors is performed. The proposed algorithm calculates the distance between objects in a multidimensional space of attribute values and assigns new objects to already formed classes. The criterion for creating classes is the age of the painting from the existing database. As a measure of the objects proximity, it is proposed to use the Euclid and Minkowski metrics. The calculation of weights for the proposed classification algorithm is performed by the Fisher method. Results. The effectiveness of the proposed method was investigated in the course of experiments with an image database containing photos of paintings by world, European and Ukrainian artists. Algorithm configuration parameters that provide high classification accuracy are found. Conclusions. The performed experiments have shown the effectiveness of the selected descriptors for the formation of vector descriptions of images of paintings. The greatest accuracy is provided by descriptor merging, which reveals significant differences in the structural properties of images. This approach to the description of objects in combination with the proposed classification algorithm and the chosen main criterion ensures high accuracy of the obtained solutions. The direction of further research may include the use of convolutional neural networks to improve the accuracy of classification under the condition of a static database.
Cultural values have long been the objects of crimes, among which the export from the state stands out. Falsification hides artworks from customs control and its detection requires a long examination using a variety of methods of analysis. This article discusses the task of verifying painting’s authenticity during customs inspection. A two-stage procedure is proposed, which includes a quick check based on the analysis of painting’s images and a longer museum expertize. To implement the image analysis, it is proposed to use an intelligent decision-making system, which is based on a classifier that implements the k-nearest neighbors algorithm. A set of features to describe painting’s properties is formed, metrics for calculating the similarity measure on objects in the course of classification is proposed. To train an algorithm, a dataset is proposed, which includes paintings by world and European artists, as well as Ukrainian painters from different centuries.
The article discusses the algorithm of the work of an intelligent decision support system for identifying cultural values and the user with it, the issues of determining the main scenarios of work and restrictions. The author provides the expediency of dividing the software implementation of the system into separate modules, which will make the process of scaling the system less labor-intensive and more efficient. A set of tools for solving the problem is presented, where a decision is made as such. Moreover, for the identification and analysis of different types of cultural property objects, different types of neural networks can be provided. It also notes the complexity and complexity of the approach to solving the problem, certain prospects and ways of further research of this subject area. The use of the system specified in the article, built on the basis of neural networks and modern software and hardware, will allow the user, in conditions of uncertainty and in conditions of limited time, to receive additional help in making decisions in identification and CC, the use of a system of this type is relevant and promising. The approach proposed by the author to the creation of this system is convenient and effective, has a powerful potential for further development and improvement of the system. The combination of databases and knowledge in one system, together with a powerful mathematical and analytical apparatus, will allow reaching a higher level of identification and analysis of objects of cultural property in comparison with conventional databases and catalogs. The conclusions set tasks for solving organizational, legal and technical issues related to the implementation and operation of the system.
The article considers the issue of choosing the architecture of the data storage system of the decision support system and its technological schemes of operation. The main advantages and disadvantages of different options for organizing data storage of this system are presented. The issues of solving the problems of practical use of database management systems as the main component of the intelligent decision support system for the identification of cultural values are also considered. The requirements to the components of the intelligent decision support system are defined and given, namely to the subsystem of data storage on objects of cultural values. This paper offers a view of the system, in terms of queuing system, and take into account not only information but also users and processes that will deal with the system, taking into account such criteria as: service time, queue length, number of service channels and their load, bandwidth, serviced/rejected applications, etc. The article presents an analysis of existing tools and modern tools for solving the problem of organizing data storage in the system. Popular modern database management systems, their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. As a result of the analysis the decision of a choice of system of management of databases which satisfies the criteria established by the author in work is offered. To solve the problem of creating and using a storage subsystem in the system, the author proposes to use the architecture of the system with physical data storage based on MySQL. The main advantages of this approach are given. The convenience of using the phpMyAdmin system as a tool for developing and administering the relevant database is noted. Convenient scaling of the database with this approach allows with minimal costs, to expand the capabilities of the system in the future. The paper notes the complexity and complexity of the problem of solving the problem. Prospects and ways of further research and development of this subject area are determined. The conclusions indicate a number of important organizational and engineering issues in other areas of knowledge that must be solved to successfully solve the problem.
