ABSTRACT.Recognizing the importance of the themes of strategy and innovation, this paper aimed to present an overview of the works that address these themes and which have been published in Brazilian periodicals in the area of Production and Administration Engineering. In order to meet this objective, a study was carried out in the works published in the Qualis database of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Level Personnel, being the classification by A1, A2, B1 and B2. By identifying the most productive authors, institutions of origin, the environments where the studies were developed and the journals where the works were published, it was possible to elaborate a diagnosis (profile) and the fulfillment of the proposed objectives. As main results we can highlight the presence of some institutions that originate authors with more publications. The absence of public organizations in the works, this fact perhaps deserves a greater investigation of the reasons that make that the public organizations are not object of studies related to the subjects. Keywords: Administration, Academic Production, Production Engineering and Strategies and/or Innovation.
