Resumo.A neosporose tem emergido no Brasil como uma das principais doenças causadoras de aborto em bovinos no Brasil e no mundo. Causada pelo protozoário Neospora caninum afeta uma diversidade de espécies animais. Em busca da elucidação biológica, epidemiológica e diagnóstica, vários estudos se delineiam a cerca desse agente. O objetivo do presente estudo foi revisar a literatura científica sobre a neosporose bovina no Brasil, abordando os principais aspectos etiopatogênicos, epidemiológicos, clínicos, diagnósticos e imunoprofiláticos, visando à construção do atual cenário da neosporose na bovinocultura brasileira. A estratégia de busca para seleção dos estudos foi um levantamento realizado nas bases de dados PubMed, Lilacs, SciElo e Google scholar, no período janeiro de 2005 a março de 2020. Parte majoritária dos estudos foram levantamentos soroepidemiológicas que visavam determinar a ocorrência e fatores de risco da doença. A ocorrência média da neosporose encontrada nos estudos foi de 32,7% (2,45%-100%) associadas aos fatores de risco histórico de aborto, presença de cães, tipo de criação, idade e ausência de teste diagnóstico na introdução de novos animais nas propriedades. Os principias métodos diagnósticos utilizados foram os sorológicos. O aborto foi apontado como principal manifestação clínica da doença. A neosporose bovina está amplamente distribuída pelo Brasil, em alguns estudos de bovinocultura de exploração leiteira foram identificadas soroprevalências acima de 90% justificando-se assim, a implementação de estratégias de controle e profilaxia da neosporose bovina no Brasil, em busca de melhorias dos índices reprodutivos do rebanho nacional.
Resumo. O frango caipira criado sob os sistemas extensivo e semi-intensivo possui acesso às áreas externas para pastejo e práticas de exercícios, o que permite maior exposição ambiental aos agentes infecciosos. O objetivo do presente estudo foi determinar a presença de parasitas gastrointestinais em um criatório de frangos caipiras, no município de Carmo do Paranaíba, MG, além de estabelecer os possíveis fatores de riscos. O estudo foi realizado em uma criação de 1800 frangos caipiras (Gallus gallus domesticus), criados sob o sistema semi-intensivo de produção, alojados em oito galpões, separadas por fase de criação conforme idade (Pré-inicial 1 e 2-composta por aves de cinco a 10 semanas, Inicial 1 e 2-10 a 16 semanas e Abate 1 e 2-16 a 20 semanas). A amostra baseou-se na ocorrência média esperada de 55,4%, conforme estudo prévio, totalizando 268 amostras, cerca de 45 amostras/box. A determinação da ocorrência de parasitoses foi realizada por meio da colheita de excretas em um papelão posicionado embaixo do poleiro e aguardou-se as aves defecarem e foi colhido cerca de 10 gramas da parte superior das excretas, com posterior avaliação pelos métodos qualitativo (Willis e Hoffman) e quantitativo (n ovos/lâmina). Avaliaram-se os fatores de risco por meio de um questionário epidemiológico, com seleção das variáveis: idade, tipo de alimentação, descarte e mudança periódica da cama dos lotes, controle de entrada e saída das aves nos lotes, vermifugação e vacinação. Utilizou-se um teste não paramétrico Odds Ratio para duas amostras independentes, com um nível de significância de 5% para análise dos fatores de risco. A ocorrência determinada foi de 57,46% (154/268) e se diferiu entre as fases de criação no sistema semi-intensivo. A fase de abate demonstrou uma menor frequência de ovos (46,06%) comparada às fases iniciais (Pré-inicial 61,79% e Inicial 64,44%) (P<0,001). Foram detectados ovos dos gêneros Ascaridia spp. e Synganus trachea. Dessa forma, concluiu-se que galinhas caipiras pertencentes a uma propriedade rural de Carmo do Paranaíba, MG apresentaram nematoides, sendo as fases iniciais mais parasitadas, ensejando assim, estudos que visem à aplicação de melhores práticas de manejo higiênico sanitárias nesse tipo de criação.Palavras chave: avicultura, endoparasitoses, frango de corte, nematódeos Gastrointestinal parasites in a semi-intensive rearing of free-range chickens, in the municipality of Carmo do
Resumo.A neosporose é considerada uma das principais doenças causadoras de aborto na bovinocultura leiteira mundial. O agente etiológico é o Neospora caninum e pode causar distúrbios reprodutivos e neurológicos. Objetivou-se detectar anticorpos anti-Neospora caninum em fêmeas bovinas, no município Tiros, MG, bem como, estabelecer os possíveis fatores de risco envolvidos. Foram coletadas 100 amostras de soro sanguíneo de fêmeas bovinas, provenientes de 20 propriedades rurais distintas com diagnóstico fundamentado na sorologia por Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Realizou-se análise estatística descritiva (frequências absoluta e relativa) e determinação de fatores de risco pelo teste não paramétrico Odds Ratio para duas amostras independentes, considerando um nível de significância de 5%. A ocorrência detectada foi de 36% (36/100). O fator de risco identificado foi ausência de assistência do médico veterinário (P < 0,0451). Todas as propriedades (100%, 20/20) avaliadas apresentavam histórico recente de alterações reprodutivas, como aborto, repetição de cio e/ou retenção de anexos fetais, com isso, fazem-se necessários estudos epidemiológicos que visem identificar os possíveis agentes etiológicos envolvidos para minimizar possíveis impactos econômicos, bem como, a atuação permanente e vigorosa do médico veterinário nas propriedades rurais do município.
Resumo.A neosporose é considerada uma das principais doenças causadoras de aborto, gerando falhas reprodutivas no rebanho bovino. O presente estudo objetivou determinar a presença de anticorpos anti-Neospora caninum em bovinos de rebanhos leiteiros oriundos da microrregião de Patos de Minas, Minas Gerais, bem como, determinar os fatores de risco. Foram coletadas 110 amostras de soro sanguíneo, provenientes de 10 propriedades rurais distintas, sendo amostrados 11 bovinos/propriedade com diagnóstico fundamentado na sorologia por Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). A análise estatística empregada foi descritiva, por meio de frequências absoluta e relativa, utilizando-se um teste não paramétrico Odds Ratio para duas amostras independentes para determinação de fatores de risco, considerando um nível de significância de 5%, com seleção de possíveis fatores de risco pela aplicação de um questionário epidemiológico. Determinou-se uma ocorrência de 28,2% (31/110). Vacas avaliadas que exibiram histórico de aborto apresentaram 12,7 vezes mais chances de serem soro reagentes para Neospora caninum (P < 0,0001). Feto abortado não observado (P = 0,0028) e bovinos mestiços (P = 0,038) também foram considerados fatores de risco para a doença. Por se tratar de uma doença reprodutiva impactante na bovinocultura brasileira, com relevante ocorrência detectada (28,18%) na microrregião de Patos de Minas, atenta-se para a necessidade de realização de levantamentos epidemiológicos que visem identificar animais soro reagentes e possíveis fatores de risco, para se estabelecer medidas de profilaxia e controle da neosporose.
