Uno de los ejes teóricos y analíticos de este número es la pregunta por el sentido de la política y lo político. Este interrogante se articula con la preocupación por comprender la importancia que tienen los lugares físicos o simbólicos (las epistemologías, las racionalidades, las disposiciones afectivas, los lenguajes…) desde donde se habla y se producen estas dos dimensiones de la vida social. En otras palabras, al investigar el sentido de la política y lo político, este número también se preocupa por explorar los ámbitos de enunciación desde los cuales ambas dimensiones han sido pensadas y han adquirido forma. Recorrer cada uno de los lugares geográficos, históricos, epistémicos o culturales desde donde la política y lo político han emergido como asuntos indispensables para la vida en común, sería una labor inmensa, por no decir interminable. De igual manera, resultaría imposible en estas páginas cartografiar dicho recorrido, es decir, caracterizar cada uno de los ámbitos explorados, dibujar sus fronteras, delinear sus posibles zonas de encuentro o trazar sus puntos de ruptura.
A pesar del amplio reconocimiento que han tenido autores como Aimé Césaire, Frantz Fanon y Édouard Glissant en la configuración de un pensamiento Afrofrancófono y Afrocaribeño en el siglo XX, el reconocimiento de las mujeres no ha tenido el mismo alcance. Este artículo presenta una lectura de la obra de Suzanne Roussi-Césaire (nacida en Martinica, 1915-1966) con el ánimo de visibilizar apuestas políticas, estéticas e intelectuales creadas por mujeres Afrofrancófonas y caribeñas. La exposición se divide en tres apartados. Primero, realizo una breve presentación de la metáfora caníbal durante la conquista europea en el “Nuevo Mundo”, con el ánimo de contextualizar la poesía caníbal propuesta por Roussi- Césaire. Segundo, expongo la crítica que Roussi-Césaire realizó al doudouisme como registro literario y escópico de exotización colonial. Finalmente, presento la propuesta visual que ella diseñó para enfrentar el doudouisme: un caribe opaco, un paisaje camuflado.
En este artículo exploro el performance “Como era gostoso o meu antropófago” (2013) del colectivo artístico brasileño Indigestão. Abordo, específicamente, las dimensiones éticas, eróticas y políticas de las prácticas culinarias de Indigestão. A partir de los planteamientos de Cătălin Avramescu sobre el gusto como un concepto central en el proceso de colonización del “Nuevo Mundo”, muestro cómo las prácticas artísticas y culinarias de Indigestão parodian, transgreden e intoxican este concepto. Primero, examino la relación que existe entre poder colonial, boca, comida y gusto, con el objetivo de problematizar lo que llamo colonización de la ingesta. Segundo, muestro cómo Indigestão confronta esta forma de colonización a través de la instalación de lo que denomino una cocina abyecta, un gusto indisciplinado y un anticuerpo político.
