O artigo problematiza uma importante dimensão da educação na atualidade e aponta sugestões para o aperfeiçoamento do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD), considerando sua importância para a melhoria da qualidade da educação brasileira. Os procedimentos metodológicos adotados para a elaboração deste trabalho constituem-se de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, aplicação de questionário junto a 36 professores dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental de uma rede municipal de educação no interior do Estado de São Paulo. Defendemos que o PNLD pode constituir-se num elemento para a ampliação do capital cultural dos alunos, em especial, das camadas mais desfavorecidas da sociedade que, de modo geral, não têm acesso a livros, além de relevante recurso didático no trabalho pedagógico dos professores. Propomos, mediante análise crítica, que o PNLD distribua livros didáticos consumíveis a todos os alunos da educação básica.
A obra em tela, Qualidade do ensino e formação do professorado: uma mudança necessária, de autoria de Francisco Imbernón foi traduzida da língua espanhola para o português por Silvana Cobucci Leite e publicado no Brasil pela editora Cortez em 2016. O livro está estruturado em 14 capítulos, que, por sua vez, são divididos em duas partes. A primeira seção engloba quatro capítulos que abordam a instituição escola, o professorado, a comunidade e a qualidade da educação, elementos que, segundo o autor, podem proporcionar uma educação voltada para formação de cidadãs e cidadãos livres e democráticos. A segunda parte é composta por dez capítulos e aborda um aspecto de muita relevância para a construção de uma educação de qualidade, que é a formação do professorado.O principal objetivo deste livro é refletir sobre a qualidade do ensino, tendo como foco a formação dos professores. Problematiza, dessa maneira, como a formação pode contribuir para que haja uma efetiva qualidade que esteja além de burocráticos padrões de controle empresarial de qualidade. Inicia, discutindo o quanto as mudanças tecnológicas fazem com que pensemos que tudo mudou, mas, no entanto, isso é apenas uma sensação de mudança e não configura uma mudança efetiva na perspectiva de Imbernón. Dessa forma, o autor questiona o que realmente mudou na educação e como o conceito sobre qualidade é evidenciado de maneira equivocada nos discursos políticos.
Este artigo apresenta e discute resultados parciais da pesquisa intitulada “Desenvolvimento Profissional do Gestor Escolar na Perspectiva da Pesquisa-Ação: das representações à reorganização escolar” cujo objetivo geral é aprimorar a formação dos gestores escolares da Diretoria de Ensino de Presidente Prudente (DE/PP). O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar o perfil dos diretores da DE/PP e identificar/analisar pela voz dos próprios profissionais o que pensam sobre diferentes aspectos que perpassam sua atuação profissional, suas concepções sobre seu papel, suas dificuldades e o que pensam sobre a gestão democrática na escola pública estadual. Problematiza, ainda, aspectos relacionados à formação destes sujeitos, a partir dos documentos gestados pela Secretaria Estadual de Educação (SEE/SP) recuperando, dessa forma, a trajetória de formação dos diretores. A pesquisa se insere na abordagem qualitativa e utiliza-se como procedimento de coleta de dados, a pesquisa documental e a aplicação de questionário junto a 35 diretores escolares. Para categorização e análise das questões abertas recorremos à técnica de análise de conteúdo e para as questões fechadas utilizamos o software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Como resultados parciais, verificou-se que a maioria dos diretores valoriza a gestão democrática e compreende o enorme desafio que isso representa em sua atuação profissional no cotidiano da escola pública. Por outro lado, os diretores têm uma percepção de sua atuação que mescla elementos com ênfase numa liderança política de incentivar a participação e a gestão democrática com uma concepção mais técnica de sua atuação. Com relação à formação continuada, constatamos que existe uma acentuada preocupação com a formação dos gestores por parte da SEE/SP, intensificada na última década.http://dx.doi.org/10.14572/nuances.v24i3.2703
A educação escolar indígena delineia a política educacional de formação específica para professores indígenas no Brasil. Estes se habilitam para construir, com suas comunidades e parceiros, a identidade específica de suas escolas indígenas. Objetiva-se mapear os/as professores/as Guarani/Kaiowá, egressos da Licenciatura Intercultural Indígena – Teko Arandu (Viver com Sabedoria), das cinco turmas diplomadas entre 2011 e 2018 pela Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados (UFGD). Com pesquisa empírica do tipo etnográfico e documental, produziram-se dados quanti e qualitativos sobre os concluintes, analisados a partir da perspectiva da interculturalidade crítica. Efetuou-se a identificação dos egressos nos arquivos da secretaria acadêmica da UFGD e do curso; completou-se a pesquisa documental por meio de diálogo com professoras do curso para se verificar municípios/terras indígenas/comunidades de onde vieram tais egressos para a UFGD. A segunda fase priorizou o trabalho de campo nas secretarias municipais e nas escolas indígenas, espaços de recolha de dados de lotação. Depreende-se que, dos 225 diplomados, 90,6% estavam atuando nas escolas indígenas do Território Etnoeducacional Cone Sul no ano de 2018; destes, 38,2% eram concursados e 61,8% contratados.
