Worked-out-examples -a special type of learning tasks, which are due to foster individual learning in Science Abstract: Worked-examples consist of a problem task, several -more or less worked out -solution steps and the answer to the problem task itself. If worked-examples are well designed, they are likely to be used as tasks for students especially with weak abilities in one domain. Also, these examples can be solved by students without supervision (e.g. as homework, for independent revision tasks, etc.). The following article starts with a short theoretical background and some evidence in research regarding learning with worked-examples. Afterwards, it shows how worked-examples can be developed for learning chemistry content.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
