Resumo O artigo discute o acontecimento da pandemia aliado ao bolsonarismo em um conjunto de curtas-metragens em que se destacam o espaço confinado da casa, os objetos domésticos e o tempo presente. Incorpora entrevistas, feitas com os diretores, focadas na urgência dessas produções e em suas imagens tóxicas e pobres. Conclui que esses filmes e entrevistas são um trabalho de memória para o futuro e pergunta se tais imagens serão capazes de reorganizar o que aconteceu em vistas do porvir.
O artigo analisa a série América (direção de João Moreira Salles) feita para a extinta Rede Manchete em 1989. Muitas são as questões que poderiam ser exploradas diante desse documentário, como: de que modo suas imagens constróem os imaginários nacionais? Tais imagens se apresentam como “retratos do real” ou eventualmente explicitam visões subjetivas? O artigo porém investiga a dinâmica da noção de paisagem em América a partir das próprias questões que as imagens convocam naquele momento. Trata-se de um recém descoberto repertório de práticas (o vídeo) e olhares em devir no qual o território americano ressurge como objeto de aspiração e experiência de privação, ou seja, paisagem.

ResumoDiscute-se o campo do cinema documentário naquilo que o singulariza, isto é, a partir do lugar do espectador como aquele que se define em função de sua capacidade de julgar, de se desatrelar do campo geral da imersão para ser posto em situação. Para trabalhar essa questão, serão discutidos filmes que convidam o espectador a julgar não só suas próprias imagens, mas as imagens cotidianas do mundo.
RESUMOEste artigo discute o problema da natureza dupla da imagem do cinema e da natureza unívoca do tribunal, particularmente em dois filmes brasileiros recentes, Juí-zo, o maior exige do menor, de Maria Augusta Ramos e Jogo de cena, de Eduardo Coutinho. Analisam no tema do duplo e do tribunal -da justiça e do cinema -questões relativas ao lugar do espectador diante das imagens midiáticas contemporâneas, aos sistemas de representação, aos modos singulares de produzir a verdade, que serão analisadas aqui, bem como o possível diálogo desses documentários com as obras de Kieslowski, Kiarostami e Makhmalbaf. O cinema, seu duplo e o tribunal em cena* Introdução A proposta deste artigo é pensar nas relações que se estabelecem entre a natureza dupla da imagem cinematográfica e a natureza unívoca do tribunal a partir de filmes, documentários sobretudo, em que essa articulação é visível. Entre a duplicidade inerente à imagematual/virtual, percepção/memória, objetivo/subjetivo, artifício/real -e a lógica unitária do julgamento -onde as singularidades devem ser reconduzidas à ordem da equivalência e da identidade -somos atraídos por questões que dizem respeito aos limites da representação, por aquilo que marca o limite de toda representação.Jogo de cena e Juízo chamam a atenção, primeiramente, porque são documentários que montam um dispositivo de inscrição da cena dentro da cena e atribuem ao espetáculo (seja do teatro, do cinema, da justiça) uma função social que o legitima. Se na representação existe ao mesmo tempo uma cena para uma sala, um ator para um espectador, personagens para sujeitos singulares, uma imagem para uma coisa, esta topografia da cena pode supor um "lugar calculado" de onde se observam as coisas, um diálogo "entre a geometria e o teatro", um corte, como afirma Barthes ao examinar a cena clássica, mas pode supor também uma espécie de "espetáculo giratório" que coloque às avessas os mundos fechados da cena e da sala (Barthes, 1984, p. 81). Interessa, em ambos os casos, que esta topografia da cena constrói sempre uma relação e, nestes filmes, ela se atualiza ao tornar sensíveis as relações de poder em jogo -do cinema, do teatro e da justiça.Para montar a cena dentro da cena, isto é, o lugar da representação dentro dos filmes, ambos os documentá-rios explicitam o dispositivo utilizado logo no início: em Jogo de cena, há o anúncio convidando mulheres acima de dezoito anos, moradoras do Rio de Janeiro, que tenham histórias para contar e interesse em participar de um teste para um filme, a telefonarem para os números tais até o dia dezessete de abril, etc. Em Juízo, trata-se de registrar os processos de menores infratores no fórum da justiça do Rio de Janeiro; já nos créditos iniciais, somos informados que a lei brasileira não permite fotografar ou filmar o rosto destes menores, de modo que o filme contratou atores em substituição aos acusados para fazer os contra-planos das cenas.
