Objetivo: Identificar as principais alterações sensoriais de crianças com microcefalia e a influência dos estímulos oferecidos em domicílio para o desempenho funcional. Metodologia: Foi utilizada a abordagem quantitativa descritiva. Foram aplicados o questionário Perfil Sensorial Infantil e o teste Affordances. Também se utilizou um questionário semiestruturado baseado na Classificação Internacional de Funcionalidade – Versão para Crianças e Jovens – CIFCJ13. A pesquisa foi realizada no Centro Estadual de Reabilitação e Readaptação Dr. Henrique Santillo. A amostra foi composta por de 17 crianças com diagnóstico de microcefalia. A análise de dados foi realizada utilizando testes de normalidade e análise de frequência. Resultados/Discussão: Identificou-se que as principais alterações sensoriais estão relacionadas com os sentidos auditivo e visual. O questionário Perfil Sensorial demonstrou hipersensibilidade nos sentidos tátil, vestibular e gustativo. Percebeu-se que a variedade de estímulos sensoriais oferecidos em domicílio é influenciada pelo comprometimento motor, e este influi no desempenho do brincar. Conclusão: São necessários mais estudos para verificar os desfechos futuros nos casos de microcefalia.
