%675$&7The Bluetooth specifications currently include many application profiles that define the requirements for some usage cases. In this paper the attention is focused on the "Basic Imaging Profile" BIP. The BIP could add important features to classic Digital Still Cameras, such as the possibility to send images to a Bluetooth Printer, or to send the image on Internet with a Bluetooth cellular phone..H\ZRUGV Bluetooth, digital still camera, wireless, profiles, XML. ,1752'8&7,21The recent technological development has allowed the diffusion, on a large scale, of modern computational and TLC tools. Personal Computers, notebooks, mobile phones and palmtops are widely used both for personal and professional purpose. As far as the connection of such heterogeneous devices is concerned, wired or wireless makes no difference. The Bluetooth system [1] addressed the need to create a universal communication method. For this reason, in the 1998, many important companies, working on different fields, joined a consortium called SIG (Special Interest Group) with the scope to define this new standard. The main characteristic of this technology is to connect devices in a range of 100m, without the binds of other technologies. Bluetooth guaranties a fast and secure transmission of voice and data through synchronous and asynchronous links. The applications allow the creation of a universal link among already present technologies, among terminals and peripherals or, simpler, allow creating small private groups of devices connected themselves (Personal Area Network) that, unbound form fixed links, can exchange information easily and quickly.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
