ResumoObjetivo: Esse estudo tem por objetivo apresentar uma reflexão teórica sobre os impactos que a pandemia da Covid-19 reflete nos grupos de vulnerabilidade social, e como isso corrobora no processo do adoecimento mental da população. Método: O referido estudo, trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura, na qual utilizou-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, com estudo descritivo, que analisou teses, dissertações e artigos científicos sobre o tema. Introdução: As cardiopatias congênitas são malformações cardíacas que estão presentes desde o nascimento, sendo anormalidades em estruturas e na função cardiocirculatória, estima-se que a cada 1000 crianças nascidas vivas 8 delas apresentam cardiopatias, tendo altas taxas em relação a mortalidade infantil, chegando a cerca de 495.000 mortes em todo o mundo. Objetivo: Investigar a incidência de recém-nascidos portadores de cardiopatia congênita na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Métodos: Este estudo trata-se de uma revisão de literatura do tipo integrativa, com consulta de artigos científicos e materiais publicados na integra. Em relação aos critérios de inclusão, foram considerados artigos publicados na integra disponíveis gratuitamente, escritos em português, publicados entre os anos 2012 a 2021. Com isso, identificou-se 86 artigos nos quais 9 foram selecionados para a construção desta revisão. Resultados e Discussão: De acordo com os estudos, 51% precisaram de internação por conta da cirurgia, e 10% apresentaram piora no seu quadro clínico havendo a necessidade de internação na UTI. Além disso, de 888 recém-nascidos 19,15% possuíam cardiopatia congênita. Conclusão: Os recém-nascidos portadores de cardiopatia congênita precisam muitas vezes de internação na UTI, por conta de tal ambiente oferecer suporte específico, monitoramento e cuidado multidisciplinar.
