The physical process of interaction of the working member of the brush cutter with trees located on the path of the machine movement is considered. In the development of existing ideas set out in the textbooks, the method for calculating brush cutters with a passive working body is refined, based on a detailed analysis of the acting forces. Recommendations for the calculation and selection of the parameters of the working member of the brush cutter are presented. Dedicated to the memory of our mentors and outstanding scholars, Nikolai Iakovlevich Kharkhuta (Leningrad Polytechnic Institute named after M.I. Kalinin) and Konstantin Aleksandrovich Artemiev (Siberian State Automobile and Highway University), who made significant contributions to development of a theory of interaction between working attachments of construction and road machinery and treated environment.
A polyethylene pipeline trenchless installation with special machines is one of methods of gas pipeline constructions between localities. A polyethylene pipeline is exposed to a short term bend and a significant deformation during an installation. The methods and research results of the polyethylene pipeline ability at the short term bending are presented below. The mathematical model has been created. The analytical calculations of the polyethylene pipeline stress state at the bend have been done and experimentally verified. The requirements have been formulated to ensure the necessary installed pipeline operation properties.
The disadvantage of this method is the additional costs of using drilling machines and disposal of soil, which also leads to an increase in labor costs and a decrease in work productivity. It is necessary to place an additional set of drilling equipment, an excavator and vehicles for soil removal at the construction site. The authors proposed a technology, when the piles are driven into the leader wells to the depth of the frozen soil to solve this problem. The wells are arranged by means of a thermal vibrolider, installed on the head of a pile driver, on its adjacent face with a pile hammer and moved along it with the help of guides under the cable transmission action. Thermovibrolider is made in the form of a cylindrical hollow rod with a tip, where a vibrating submer is installed. A heating coil is installed in the tip, and there are ribs along its lateral surface, used for cutting soil and breaking its solidity, but also for transferring additional heat to it, which leads to intensification of thawing processes. The presented technological solution makes it possible to increase the efficiency and reliability of the driving piles process into such soil by eliminating of pile shafts destruction during their immersion through the frozen layer, as well as reducing the values of the piles deviations in the planned position.
