Oft wird man, um die Diagnose einer Affektion im Munde zu erhgrten, sich nach auxilii~ren Symptomen umsehen mfissen. Der Pemphigus (P.), der sich in einer AnzaM der Fglle nur auf die Mundsehleimhau~ beschri~nkt oder aber im Munde zuers~ und dann erst am iibrigen KSrper auftritt, bietet selbstverst~ndlich ebenfalls grebe Schwierigkeiten in der diagnostischen Erfassung, zumal diese Diagnose in ihrer ganzen Tragweite wohl den meisten Diagnostikern eine grebe Zuriiekhal~ung a uferlegt. Herpes iris, Stomatitis aphthosa, Diphtheria mucosae otis, Stomatitis mercurialis usw. k6~men vollkommen analoge Bflder liefern.Zur Frfihdiagnose als aueh zur differential diagnostischen Auseinanderhaltung besitzen wir kein }tilfsmittel, lediglich bei der Stomati~is mereurialis die anamnes~isehe Angabe des Patienten, ttg als Medikament erhalten zu haben oder sieh in einem Hg-dampfhaltigen Raum aufgehalten zu haben; bei der Diph~herie ist as der Naehwei s des LS/[lersehen Bacillus, ein Nachweis, der aueh 5frets versag~. Beim Erythema multiforme mit s~arkem Befallensein des Lippenrots und der Muudsehleimhaut wird man zur Erhartung der Diagnose die weiteren Prgdilektionsstellen dieser Xrankheit, d.i. das Scrotum, die Hohlh~nde und den Nacken beriicksichtigen.Unsere Untersuehungen fiber die 0dembereitschaft bei P. vegetans x) und bei der Dermatitis herpe~iformis Duhring ~) bzw. ihre Result~te gaben einen wiehtigen nnd seheinbar untrfigliehen Beweis bei der Annahme eines P. und erm6glichen eine strikte :~rfihdiagnose, nachdem die NaC1-Re~ention zu Beginn des Ausbrnehes bereits ausgebildet is~. Inwiefern diese neuerliehen Untersuchungen dem Wesen des P. klgrend ni~herzukommen scheinen, wollen wit sparer beriicksichtigen.
