Breast cancer is one type of cancer that affects breast tissue that occurs when a number of cells proliferate too exaggerated and create a lump in the breast. This type of cancer is the most encountered cancer in Indonesia and the world. Fruits and vegetables intake and obesity are the factors that affect the risk of breast cancer. Sufficient intake of fruits and vegetables can reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, thus providing a protective effect against breast cancer, otherwise obesity could increase the risk of breast cancer. This study aimed to examine and analyze the effect of fruits and vegetables intake and obesity against the risk of breast cancer. The study design was literature review with narrative approach. Article database searches were performed using SINTA, DOAJ, PubMed, EBSCO, and Science Direct. The criteria for the articles used are articles published above 2011, cross-sectional research design or case-control study with quantitative or qualitative analysis, national and international research scope. The result of this review showed that daily intake of fruits and vegetables on breast cancer patient were low and they had a higher body mass index (BMI) than normal women. Those conditions could be increasing the risk of breast cancer and recurrence of breast cancer. It is concluded that fruis and vegetables intake and obesity have a significant impact on breast cancer risk.
