O presente trabalho busca analisar a argumentação no discurso resultante do novo posicionamento de marca da empresa de cosméticos Avon sob o viés da Teoria Semiolinguística de Patrick Charaudeau. Em 2015, a Avon passa por um reposicionamento de marca, no qual a companhia decide incorporar o empoderamento feminino como preceito chave em seu discurso institucional, algo que podemos relacionar diretamente com uma tendência maior que a indústria publicitária americana denominou como Femvertising – léxico cunhado a partir da junção das palavras em inglês feminism (feminismo) e advertising (publicidade). Sendo assim, buscamos compreender quais estratégias argumentativas a Avon utiliza em seu novo discurso que estão relacionadas com o Femvertising. Para tanto, delimitamos a análise em três suportes distintos: os catálogos de venda direta, a Fan page no Facebook e o hotsite A Beleza que faz sentido.
