A tualmente, em todos os centros médicos, a videolaparoscopia tornou-se a via de acesso de primeira escolha para a realização de muitas operações 1 . Não substitui totalmente as operações convencionais, mas está incorporando-se ao arsenal cirúrgico moderno, por constituir uma modalidade inovadora de acesso muito vantajoso para procedimentos cirúrgicos, diagnósticos e terapêuticos 2 . O aumento das operações videolaparoscópicas deve-se ao menor trauma cirúrgico, ao menor risco de infecção, a menor dor pós-operatória, ao menor tempo de hospitalização do paciente, à recuperação cirúrgica mais rápida, aos menores custos e aos melhores resultados esté-ticos [3][4][5][6] .A colecistectomia videolaparoscópica é a operação mais realizada freqüentemente entre as intervenções do trato digestivo devido à grande incidência de litíase vesicular, cujo tratamento definitivo consiste na retirada laparoscópica da vesícula, uma técnica minimamente invasiva 7 .Operações minimamente invasivas têm sido aplicadas na medicina veterinária. Destacam-se vários procedimentos cirúrgicos, como ovariectomia em cadelas e em éguas, ovário-histerectomia em cadelas, criptorquidia em cães e em eqüinos, gastropexia e nefrectomia 2 . Em função das variações anatômicas encontradas e dos graus de inflamação envolvendo, sobretudo, o hilo hepático, torna-se difícil a realização da colecistectomia, exigindo do cirurgião conhecimento e habilidade no manuseio das estruturas anatômicas 5,8 . Em virtude da necessidade do aprofundamento técnico-cirúrgico na realização desse procedimento, este estudo tem como objetivo disponibilizar uma metodologia de ensino baseada na colecistectomia videolaparoscópica em manequins plásticos, a fim de desenvolver habilidades dos estudantes de Medicina, durante a graduação, antes da participação da cirurgia in vivo. MÉTODOS MÉTODOS MÉTODOS MÉTODOS MÉTODOSA colecistectomia videolaparoscópica em manequins plásticos foi realizada nas dependências do laborató-rio de videocirurgia do curso de Medicina da Faculdade Christus, durante a realização do I Curso do Núcleo de Videocirurgia desta instituição. Esse estudo foi de natureza prospectiva, por meio de um método inovador. Esse méto-do de ensino foi obtido por meio da simulação da cavidade abdominal utilizando-se manequins plásticos e esqueleto ósseo sintético representativo da caixa torácica e das vérte-bras lombares.Para acesso dessa cavidade, foi realizado um corte com uma serra manual desde a espinha ilíaca ântero-superior até a linha axilar média no tórax no sentido longitudinal no manequim plástico. Da mesma forma, procedeu-se uma abertura contralateral direita. Duas dobradiças foram colocadas na região ilíaca para facilitar o rebatimento do capô anterior do tórax e do abdômen. O total fechamento dessas aberturas foi mantido por velcro em ambos os lados, proporcionando uma adequada iluminação da cavidade do manequim.
