A intussuscepção intestinal é um evento raro em adultos, geralmente secundária a uma condição de base, e representa cerca de 1 a 5% dos casos de obstrução intestinal nessa faixa etária. Relatamos o caso de um paciente do sexo masculino, 30 anos, portador de história familiar positiva e diagnóstico pessoal para síndrome de Peutz Jaghers, admitido com quadro de intussuscepção intestinal evidenciada em tomografia computadorizada de abdome. O mesmo foi submetido a laparotomia de urgência, com enterectomia de 120cm de intestino delgado e anastomose primária. Embora incomum, a associação entre intussuscepção intestinal em adultos e a síndrome de Peutz Jaghers é bem estabelecida. O tratamento é cirúrgico e envolve a ressecção da porção afetada. A decisão pela anastomose primária ou a confecção de ostomias dependerá das condições intraoperatórias e do paciente. Devido às possíveis complicações, como no caso relatado, é essencial o seguimento regular do paciente com a síndrome conforme as orientações e guidelines.
