Objetivo: Realizar uma análise crítico-reflexiva das práticas de rotina por profissionais de enfermagem e cuidadores familiares, em cuidados para a criança com febre, que permita promover a busca de cuidados baseados em evidências científicas que garanta o bem-estar das crianças. Conclusões: A concepção de febre na criança centrada sobre o medo e os danos, permanece. As ações de cuidados mais comuns tais como banho de esponja e o uso e abuso de antipiréticos são questionados a partir da evidência, mostrando os efeitos deletérios produzidos sobre a saúde das crianças. Cuidar de crianças, após um enfoque individualizado na avaliação, deve procurar conforto, um ambiente fresco e tranquilo, e aumentar a ingestão de líquidos para evitar a desidratação ou outras complicações. Objective:To carry out a critical and reflexive analysis of nursing professionals and family caregivers routine practices in feverish child caring, in order to promote the caring based on scientific evidence that assures child well-being.
Objetivo: Analizar el concepto de angustia en cuidadores informales de niños con fi ebre. Método: Se seleccionó el modelo híbrido de análisis de concepto que consiste en tres fases: la teórica en la que se realizó una amplia revisión de la literatura; luego la de trabajo de campo, que consistió en la recopilación y análisis de datos cualitativos, a través de 15 entrevistas a cuidadores informales; y, por último, la fase analítica en la que se analizaron, compararon y consolidaron los datos de la fases teórica y de trabajo de campo, para producir una defi nición más refi nada del concepto. Resultado: La angustia en el cuidador informal se defi ne como: un estado afectivo transitorio que surge en el cuidador que vive una condición de incertidumbre sobre algo desconocido que subyace al proceso febril, a sus manifestaciones, al acompañamiento y a las consecuencias del signo o síntoma de la fi ebre, provocando una sensación de zozobra. Conclusiones: El análisis del concepto de angustia en los cuidadores informales, permitió distinguirlo de conceptos relacionados e identifi car situaciones que pueden afectar la salud física y mental del cuidador cuando ésta se prolonga; además posibilita a la disciplina de la enfermería generar aportes sobre la práctica del cuidado, especialmente en lo que tiene que ver con la incertidumbre en el cuidador relacionada con la presencia de fi ebre en el niño.
Introducción: la enfermería requiere analizar la producción de conocimiento para identificar la situación actual de la investigación en América Latina y los desafíos que surgen en el ejercicio profesional. Método: revisión integrativa que contempló la producción científica entre los años 2014 y 2018, según Whittemore, y Whittemore y Knafl, quienes proponen: identificación del problema, búsqueda de literatura, evaluación, análisis, reducción y presentación de resultados. Resultados: emergieron el cuidado de enfermería —humanizado, seguro y culturalmente congruente—, APS y promoción de la salud, cuidado durante el ciclo vital, formación, educación y liderazgo en los servicios de salud y salud en el trabajo. Discusión: el cuidado de enfermería durante todas las etapas del ciclo vital humano requiere la comprensión e investigación de las dimensiones filosófica, disciplinar, heurística, hermenéutica y política que sustenta la práctica científica. Conclusiones: se develan las necesidades por un cuidado humanizado y seguro, que comprenda la diversidad cultural, el fomento de la APS y promoción de la salud, el cuidado durante el ciclo vital, y la búsqueda de un ejercicio digno y seguro, con liderazgo y fortaleza política.
