ResumoEste artigo tem como objetivo compreender como os processos de coleta e de seleção de informações que são publicadas nos perfis nas redes sociais da Pró-Reitoria de Extensão da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte influenciam o fluxo de informação neste setor, bem como a sua comunicação organizacional. Visando atender a este propósito, este trabalho apresenta uma pesquisa aplicada, descritiva e qualitativa, tendo como técnica de coleta de dados um questionário online, de estrutura padronizada e estruturada, aplicado junto ao gestor e aos bolsistas da Assessoria Técnica da Pró-Reitoria de Extensão. Os questionários são compreendidos por meio do método de análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2016). A partir dos resultados encontrados, constata-se que o modelo que melhor representa o processo de gestão da informação na Pró-Reitoria de Extensão é o de Beal (2004), uma vez que este modelo está ligado diretamente à maneira como o setor gerencia a sua comunicação organizacional. Por fim, conclui-se que a Gestão da Informação e a Comunicação Organizacional podem contribuir uma com a outra para que os gestores possam alcançar cada vez mais os seus públicos de interesse.Palavras-chave: Fluxos de informação.
