Occult breast cancer (OBC), which is defined as clinically recognizable axillary metastatic carcinoma from
an undetectable primary breast tumor, occult from conventional breast cancer screening imaging methods.
This case reveals an unexpected OBC in a patient with predominantly adipose breasts, with only a few
scattered areas of fibroglandular density tissue (BI-RADS® breast composition B), in which the
mammographic sensitivity is approximately 90% for the diagnosis of primary breast câncer.
