Introdução: Em dezembro de 2019, a Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) foi comunicada a respeito de alguns casos de pneumonia de causa desconhecida detectados na cidade de Wuhan, na China. Após estudos e investigações, foi detectado o agente causador da COVID-19: o vírus SARS-CoV-2. Apesar do grande número de casos relatados de COVID-19, as sequelas deixadas pela doença ainda são pouco elucidadas. Desse modo, este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a mecânica respiratória, função pulmonar, resposta ao exercício físico e qualidade de vida de indivíduos que foram contaminados pelo SARS-CoV-2. Métodos: 15 participantes passaram por avaliação de sinais vitais, pressões inspiratórias e expiratórias máximas (PIMáx; PEMáx) (Manovacuômetro Ger-Ar®), mobilidade tóraco-abdominal (cirtometria), pico de fluxo expiratório (PFE) (Peak Flow NCS®), função pulmonar (Espirômetro Microquark®), teste de caminhada de 6 minutos (TC6M), questionário Medical Research Council (MRC) e questionário de qualidade de vida (SF-36). Resultados: Observou-se diminuição da PIMÁX, PEMÁX, PFE, expansibilidade abdominal e distância percorrida no TC6M quando comparados aos valores preditos; com relação as respostas cardiovasculares no TC6M, questionário SF-36, escala de dispneia MRC e função pulmonar não foram observadas alterações significativas.
