Las habilidades sociales (HHSS) forman parte del comportamiento adaptativo del individuo. Dado que estas capacidades se desarrollan desde los primeros años de vida a través del aprendizaje social, el objetivo de este trabajo fue comparar las HHSS de niños a los dos meses de asistir al jardín de infantes que previamente habían tenido experiencia en jardines maternales (Grupo CE) con aquellos que no la tuvieron (Grupo SE). Además, se evaluó si había diferencias entre sexos. Se administró la escala de Comportamiento Preescolar y Jardín Infantil (Marrell, 2003; adaptado por Reyna & Brussino, 2009) a maestras de 35 niños de salas de 3 años de un jardín de infantes público. Se halló que los niños del Grupo CE presentaron puntajes significativamente más altos en la escala administrada que los del Grupo SE. Respecto del género, no se hallaron diferencias significativas. Estos resultados sugieren que la experiencia en el jardín maternal favorece el aprendizaje de normas sociales y la práctica de conductas socialmente habilidosas, debido probablemente a mecanismos de aprendizaje social.
l presente trabajo, aborda diferentes formas de medir y evaluar la conducta resiliente, a través de métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos, los cuales pueden ser aplicados antes, durante y/o después de una intervención en esta área, con la finalidad de dimensionar rigurosamente los resultados encontrados en este tipo de trabajos. Inicia el texto con algunas precisiones conceptuales en torno a la definición de resiliencia. Posteriormente se describen la Escala de Resiliencias para jóvenes y adultos entre 15 y 65 años (SV-RES), elaborada en el año 2008 (Saavedra y Villalta, 2008), del mismo modo se describe la Escala de Resiliencia para Escolares, ERE (Saavedra y Castro, 2009) para niños y niñas entre 9 y 14 años, cuya elaboración data de 2009, posteriormente se presenta la Metodología de Evaluación de Resiliencia para Familias, RES-F (Saavedra y Castro, 2018), construida en el año 2015 y finalmente describimos la metodología de Evaluación de Resiliencia en la Infancia para niños y niñas entre 5 y 8 años (ERIN), cuya construcción se desarrolló en el año 2020 (Saavedra, Castro, Donoso y Rojas, 2020). Todos estos métodos han sido validados y. probados en poblaciones Latinoamericanas, lo que realza su valor y actualmente varios de ellos son utilizados en más de 12 países de América y España.
El capítulo que se presenta a continuación, da cuenta de un estudio cualitativo, desde la perspectiva de la resiliencia, sobre el fenómeno de migración que se está produciendo en Chile; situación social que actualmente está configurando cambios importantes en la sociedad chilena. Se evidencia la experiencia individual de un sujeto, que desde los núcleos de significados asociados a riesgo, protección y conductas resilientes, describe como el proceso de migración lo ha transformado en una oportunidad de salir adelante y configura su presente. La migración refleja, hoy especialmente en nuestra América Latina, procesos de pobreza y desigualdad importantes y sostenidos, que el modelo económico imperante y el rol asumido por el Estado, agudizan implacablemente
