Introduction Different policies that consider a multidimensionality and interdependence of health, food and environment, which aim at health promotion, food and nutritional security and quality of life, indicate Education as a means of coping with different problems and Intersectoriality as a way of Strengthening Of actions The use of construction techniques does not include the development of pedagogical strategies in schools that allow us to approach, articulate and integrate different themes, to enable us to interrelate health, food, environment, among others. Although there are considerable numbers of active school schools, there is little study on how they are developed as educational strategies. Objective Analyze how educational approaches presents in the use of vegetable gardens and composite in pedagogics in two municipal schools of São Paulo and what working relationships with the assumptions of PS, SAN, EAN and EA. Case study methods using qualitative approach. Data collection through participatory observation, documentary analysis and semi-structured interview. The interpretation of the data was given by the thematic analysis of contents. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS In both schools, an improvement in the social behavior of students who participated in the activities in the garden / compound was reported, as well as being more interested in consuming the foods produced by them and improving their eating habits. It considers that the results are related to the fact that the activities are developed in teachinglearning through work as an educational principle and the valuing of the corporeity, uniting motor, cognitive and socio-affective skills in the activities developed with a vegetable garden. Thus, the use of the garden / composter does not develop educational education contributes to an EAN, EA and PS, to the potential of being, for the time, space and instrument that makes possible an improvement in behaviors related to a socialization, such as a collective space Which strengthens the transformation in the relations of closer ties between people and people with a nature, contributing to the formation of individuals more integrated with themselves, with the collective and with the environment, collaborating with the development of citizenship.
