Introdução: Atualmente, como resultado da globalização, o ambiente de trabalho vem sendo intensificado e sofrendo pressão constante, com isso, a classe dos profissionais de saúde se torna um grupo vulnerável ao desencadeamento de doenças ocupacionais, como a Síndrome de Burnout (SB), caracterizada por etiologia multidimensional: a exaustão emocional, a despersonalização e baixa realização nas atividades. Objetivo: Através das pesquisas à literatura, identificar a frequência da SB nos profissionais de saúde. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, segundo os preceitos de estudo exploratórios. Para coleta das fontes de informação foram utilizadas as bases de dados: PubMed, SciELO, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), e Medline, nos idiomas inglês, português e espanhol, dentro do intervalo de 2010 a 2020 e utilizando os seguintes Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS): Burnout, DORT, saúde do trabalhador. Resultados: Dentre os profissionais de saúde do setor de emergência, relacionados à SB, os médicos se destacaram evidenciando 6 especialidades: Anestesiologistas, Cardiologistas, Intensivistas, Neurologistas, Pediatras e Residentes em cirurgia geral. Conclusão: A partir dos resultados, se faze necessário o desenvolvimento de estudos e pesquisas científicas que investiguem os fatores associados negativamente à Síndrome de Burnout, com o objetivo de preveni-la e proporcionar melhor qualidade de vida a esta população.
