A hybrid material has been fabricated by combining MoS2/reduced graphene oxide (RGO) nanocomposites with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) (designated MoS2/RGO‐CNTs) through facile electrophoretic deposition. The MoS2/RGO‐CNTs hybrid benefits from the advantages of both MoS2/RGO and CNTs as a counter electrode (CE) in dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSCs). According to a series of electrochemical results, the incorporation of conductive networks of CNTs provides additional pathways for electron transport in the MoS2/RGO‐CNTs hybrid, which increases the charge‐transfer rate at the CE/electrolyte interface. As a result, the MoS2/RGO‐CNTs CE exhibits greatly improved electrocatalytic activity compared with that of MoS2/RGO alone. A DSC incorporating the MoS2/RGO‐CNTs CE achieves impressive cell performance of 7.46 %, which is higher than those measured with DSCs incorporating MoS2/RGO CE (6.82 %) and Pt CE (7.23 %).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
