La crisis sanitaria a causa del coronavirus trajo consigo un sinfín de catástrofes en la economía del país, y a los distintos sectores económicos; entre ellos se encuentra el sector de transporte, el cual fue duramente azotado durante la pandemia. En el presente artículo se propuso conciliar un informe general de las empresas de transporte, detallando cuáles fueron las principales causas que afectaron al transporte urbano; y la influencia que tuvo en los ingresos de estas entidades durante la pandemia del COVID-19, para tal fin se utilizó el nivel exploratorio con un enfoque cualitativo, asistido con el análisis de sentimientos de la polaridad y la subjetividad, apoyada con la entrevista a expertos en el tema. Los resultados obtenidos en el concilio del informe muestran que la repercusión de la crisis sanitaria fue negativa indicando una disminución de ingresos, esto apoyado con los resultados conseguidos en el análisis de sentimiento; los temores que se reflejaron en los resultados obtenidos son el miedo al contagio, tanto de los usuarios y de los trabajadores, el cual afectó en gran manera el trabajo y el desarrollo habitual del servicio de transporte público; esta fue una de las principales fuentes de contagio masivo. El miedo a las multas por falta de la implementación de los protocolos de bioseguridad fue también uno de los limitantes que tuvo repercusión negativa en los ingresos de los transportistas, y, en consecuencia, los ingresos y la renta fueron bastante afectados por dichos sucesos.
