As a result, conflict management is critical for organizational success and efficiency, and staff nurses must be able to effectively handle conflict in order to create an environment that fosters personal growth while also ensuring high-quality patient care. Aim: The present study aimed to investigate the effect of conflict management program on staff nurses' performance Method: Quasi experimental design was conducted on 70 nurses working at intensive care units affiliated to AL-sadder teaching hospital in Iraq-Missan. conflict management techniques assessment questionnaire and observation checklist of nurse's performance was used to collect data. Results: Most studied staff nurses had poor in conflict management pre-program and the minority had high in managing conflict post and after 3 months program implementation. Also, staff nurses' performance was improved after program implementation. Conclusion: There was a high statistically significant association pre-post and after 3 months between most subscales of staff nurses about managing conflict and most subscales of performance after program implementation. Recommendation: A regular educational program about conflict management should be consistent for staff nurse.
Objective: To assess knowledge for medical department nurses regarding the standard procedure toward electrocardiography in Al-Amara city hospitals.
Methodology: This descriptive study was conducted from 12th November 2019 to 31th May, 2020. We elected a random sample of 60 staff nurses in the medical division's wards, ICU, and emergency department in Al-Sadder teaching hospital, Al-Zahrawi surgical hospital, and Misan center for cardiac diseases. We used a questionnaire composed of 20 multiple choice questions. Data analysis was carried out utilizing inferential statistics.
Results: Majority of the nurses in the study had moderate level of knowledge about standard procedure ECG.
Conclusion: The standard procedure of electrocardiogram is very necessary to improve the knowledge and skills to enable the nurses to understand and identify electrocardiogram errors and able to accurately position electrodes.
Microbacterium sp. AJ-Z was isolated from fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) root nodules on Yeast Extract Mannitol (YEM) medium. Colonies of the bacteria isolates grown were rod shape, whitish, translucent, sticky nature. The results showed responded of the fenugreek seedlings grown on Nitrogen free medium (NF) to inoculated with Microbacterium sp. AJ-Z isolate at 30 min. and successful to form nodules its roots in the rate of 70% after 7 days with rate number of nodes/seedling was 2.9 superiority on the other which grown on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium and 0.7% agar. Nodules produced have a spherical shape, pinkish and indeterminate in growth and after a few days, its shape becomes elongated.
The current study succeeded in producing the lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) plant from somatic embryos induced by the leaves callus of its seedlings, The results of soaking its dormant seeds in a solution of gibberellic acid at concentrations (0, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0) gm l -1 for 24 hours showed the superiority of the concentration 0.5 g L -1 in stimulation the germination rate that reached 75% after 6 days comparing with other treatments and control that had 20% germination after 13 days. This study was able to initiated callus from seedling leaves when were placed on MS solid medium supplemented with by added 3.0 mg L -1 NAA and 10 mg L -1 BA after 20 days, Initiated callus was characterized by its yellowish-green color and friable texture, and when its masses were removed and placed on the same media, it produced well-growth cultures that were perpetuated every 15 days. After the second sub-culturing, the first stages of somatic embryos appeared, the spherical stage, which later developed into the heart, then torpedo and cotyledon stages and produced when placed individually on MSO medium, Intact lavender plants after 30 days were characterized by their good growth and density of leaves.
