This research proposes a development of Early Warning System (EWS) model towards the financial performance of Islamic bank using financial ratios and macroeconomic indicators. The result of this paper is ready-to-use algorithm for the issue that needs to be solved shortly using machine learning technique which is not widely applied in Islamic banking. The research was conducted in three stages using Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) technique: the selection of variables that significantly affect financial performance, developing an algorithm as a predictor and testing the predictor algorithm using out of sample data. Finally, the research concludes that the proposed model results in 100% accuracy for predicting Islamic bank’s financial conditions for the next two consecutive months.

Muhammadiyah is an organization founded by Kyai Ahmad Dahlan which is mostly engaged in business charities in the field of education such as PAUD/TK, SD, SLTP, SLTA, and Universities. The purpose of this study is to provide a brief review of several research articles that discuss the Muhammadiyah movement from its founding background to its influence in the world of Islamic education in Indonesia. This research method is a literature study because in the end all the material that has been read must be drawn a conclusion in the form of a report. Data sources consist of primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the emergence of the Muhammadiyah organization is a response to the enforcement of Islamic teachings that depart from the Qur'an and Sunnah. Also of the factors raised from the two studies above are about the purification of monotheism which was influenced by colonialism regarding shirk, superstition, bid'ah and superstition and living in poverty, destitution and ignorance. Muhammadiyah organization is very concerned about the condition of a pluralistic society in the development of the education curriculum in Indonesia.
This study investigates the influence of institutional, financial openness and trade openness on financial development in the case of 26 Muslim countries. For this purpose, panel data have been taken from world development indicators for the period 2002-2014 and the panel data model has been estimated using fixed effect random effect models. The findings of this paper have highlighted the role of institutions, trade and financial openness in financial development. The results show that the quality of institution, trade openness and economic growth have significant and positive effect on financial development. Keeping in view the results, it is recommended that Muslim countries should focus on adopting free trade policies, maintaining law and order situation, elimination of corruption and enhancing the quality of institutions for financial sector development.
