Right now, there is no perceptible vehicle management framework for Khulna university that provides a vehicle monitoring system, real-time fuel consumption data analysis, vehicle route optimization by calculating passenger traffic, and so on. Albeit creating that framework is the holistic objective of the total project, the significant objective of this paper is to propose a cost-effective, reliable IoT-based vehicle monitoring system for Khulna University based on the developed prototype device. The open-source controller and GPS-GPRS-based module determine the real-time position of the vehicle, and the location of the test vehicle can be communicated via GPRS, which is provided by the GSM network. This real-time location data is stored in a web-based IoT platform. Authorized users of the system can access this information via the internet. The proposed solution will facilitate all stakeholders, including teachers, students, and other Khulna University staffs, to use this information to make smarter travel selections. This will also pave the way for future research like intelligent vehicle route optimization by storing real data from different vehicles of Khulna University on the online database.
Khulna is an industrial city of Bangladesh which experienced the migration of people from surrounding areas for better scope of job and living. Over the years, some parts of the city have become over populated as some others have been left rather under or un-utilized. Current situation indicates that the present development authority has little control over the land use or economic activity in this area. High cost of land, poor institutional management, absence of a clear national land policy and lack of co-ordination between government agencies have made development programs more challenging. So far no legislative decision has been taken to meet the current problems of land ownership. Now it is felt that an integrated participatory program might give some directions towards a sustainable approach to mitigate this crisis. Collaboration between public service providing institutions might bring positive results to the community. This research is an inquiry of the degree of acceptability of local stakeholders towards any redevelopment program of this old CBD, historically situated by the river Bhairab. At the same time, it intends to find out the potential target group(s) to be involved in the development program.
Acacia auriculiformis, a fast growing and hardy leguminous tree species, has widely been planted to rehabilitate degraded hills in Bangladesh. In this study the effect of elevation, slope and aspect on the growth of A. auriculiformis is evaluated. Data were collected from the plantations on the hills in Chittagong University campus. It was observed that height and diameter growth diminished significantly with the increase in elevation and slope. However, variation in aspect did not have significant impact on growth. Simple linear and logarithmic models were developed to predict the height and diameter growth against elevation and slope.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
