With the greater number of Web Services (WSs) available on the internet, searching the appropriate WS that fulfills the user needs has become a major challenge. In this paper, we propose a Goal-based framework for Web Services (WSs) discovery. The framework employs matching algorithms and allows searching through a set of Semantic Web Services (SWS)s in order to find the most suitable WS that matches with a user Goal. The proposal is implemented and validated using some test collections and real-world scenarios. Moreover, the experimental results showed that the proposed approach has an efficient impact on the discovery process as a whole.
