Intention to move is an attitude affected by dissatisfaction toward one's residence. However, there is no clear correlation between the mediating variable of residential satisfaction and intention to move. The bond or attachment towards a place is one of the factors that cause a person's attitude or behavior. Regarding such a case, this study aimed to find out the correlational relationship between the level of satisfaction and place attachment to the attitude of intention to move. By using a mixed-method approach, this study examined the assessment of physical and non-physical aspects of satisfaction and place attachment dimensions. The research was conducted in Medan Belawan District, Medan City in a slum area that is part of a suburb of Medan. Questionnaires were distributed both directly in the field and online. The collected data were analyzed by principal component analysis and multivariate correlation analysis to seek the relationship between latent variables. The results showed that functional and cognitive attachment are the main predictors of mismatch and opportunities elsewhere.
Revolusi industri 4.0 yang diinisiasi oleh perkembangan teknologi informasi digital mendorong perkembangan dalam segala bidang termasuk industri komersial. Penerapan teknologi ini berimplikasi pada perubahan pola kegiatan jual-beli secara ‘online’ tanpa adanya batasan jarak, waktu, dan tempat. Peluang kegiatan jual-beli ‘online’ tersebut dimanfaatkan oleh sebagian orang di rumah. Perubahan kegiatan ini telah berimplikasi pada perubahan sosial-ekonomi dan karakteristik fisik ruang dalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan sosial-ekonomi dan karakteristik fisik ruang dalam rumah tinggal akibat kegiatan bisnis ‘online’. Penelitian dilakukan di Sentra Kerajinan Sepatu Cibaduyut, Kota Bandung pada tiga orang responden yang memiliki bisnis usaha kerajinan sepatu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan pengambilan data yang dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan sosial-ekonomi dan fisik yang meliputi transformasi fungsi ruang, ‘layout’ ruang, dan ‘layout’ perabot di ruang dalam rumah akibat bisnis ‘online’. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan oleh arsitek atau pengembang perumahan untuk mempertimbangkan pola perilaku dan kebutuhan para pelaku industri dalam rumah tinggal di era industri 4.0.
The architect’s profession is very close to things related to design. The face of the metropolis, which is now entering the modern era, contrasts with the faces of lower strata towns that are unable to catch up. Because of this, local governments in Indonesia have launched several initiatives to improve settlements by including architects in the planning process. According to a case study completed in Semarang, one of the government’s efforts to improve settlements is the Kampung Tematik program. This program provides new collaboration between architect organizations, governments, and communities. In performance, the architect serves many clients, and there are several design negotiations. However, due to the large number of people engaged and the time constraint, the design eventually gained concept dispersion. What was envisioned or planned is not synonymous with what was constructed or implemented. This study aims to examine how architects engage with several clients during the Kampung Tematik program’s phases and have to deal with the design and build phase. Architects who work with the community need special skills to communicate with many clients. The concept of the collective agreement may be realized not just as an architect’s work but also as a collaborative all actors thought.
Kampung Songket merupakan sebuah kampung yang terletak di jalan Ki Gede Ing Suro 30 Ilir Kota Palembang. Kampung ini terkenal dengan sentra kerajinan songket yang diproduksi oleh masyarakat setempat. Pada daerah ini tersebar toko maupun produsen pembuat kain Songket. Pada daerah ini masih terdapat rumah tradisional yang masih berdiri kokoh yang bertahan hingga saat ini. Pada kawasan Kampung Songket ini didominasi dengan keberadaan Rumah Gudang. Saat ini ada 33 rumah tradisional di kawasan Kampung Songket dimana 12 diantaranya merupakan rumah tradisional bertipe Rumah Gudang. Seluruh Rumah Gudang yang diobservasi telah melakukan modifikasi untuk menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan zaman. Identitas Rumah Gudang di kawasan ini terancam menghilang karena kurangnya perawatan rumah dari pemilik rumah dan banyak nya modernisasi di sekitar kawasan yang membuat identitas kawasan Kampung Songket memudar. Perlu adanya sinkronisasi antara pemerintah dan pemilik rumah untuk tetap mempertahankan keaslian rumah tradisional yang dimiliki agar warisan masa lalu tidak hilang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi arsitektur Rumah Gudang di kawasan Kampung Songket sebagai dokumentasi yang bermanfaat bagi pemerintah maupun untuk kajian konservasi bangunan. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan pada penelitian ini dengan pendekatan survei lapangan, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Rumah Gudang di kawasan Kampung Songket memiliki perpaduan gaya arsitektur yakni arsitektur kolonial dan arsitektur tradisional rumah panggung. Seiring perkembangan zaman, terdapat beberapa penyesuaian yang diterapkan pada rumah meliputi pola ruang, fasad, bahan bangunan, sistem konstruksi, dan ornamen di rumah tradisional Kampung Songket. ARCHITECTURE OF “RUMAH GUDANG” IN KAMPUNG SONGKET, PALEMBANGKampung Songket is located at Ki Gede Ing Suro 30 Ilir Street, Palembang City. This 'kampung' (urban village) is famous for the Songket craft center produced by the local community. Many shops and manufacturers of Songket fabrics are built up along the area. There are traditional houses as well that still exist until this day. In Kampung Songket, buildings with warehouse-type (recently called "Rumah Gudang") are primarily dominant. Currently, there are 33 traditional houses in Kampung Songket, and 12 of them are Rumah Gudang. All of Rumah Gudang observed in current research has been modernized over time. The identity of Kampung Songket has been fading due to the owner's poor management and numerous modernizations, which threaten Rumah Gudang’s existence. Collaboration between the government and homeowners is required to preserve the authenticity of the traditional houses so that the legacy of the past is not lost. This study aims to identify the Rumah Gudang architecture in the Kampung Songket area as helpful documentation for the government and building conservation studies. The qualitative descriptive method was conducted through a field survey, interviews, and a literature study. The results show that Rumah Gudang in the Kampung Songket area has a blend of architectural styles, namely colonial architecture and traditional architecture of stilts houses. Several adjustments of Rumah Gudang have been applied along with the times, such as spatial layout, building facades, building materials, construction systems, and ornaments.
