Atualmente, os jogos didáticos têm ocupado cada vez mais espaço no campo educacional pela sua capacidade de despertar emoções e conduzir os jogadores a uma experiência eufórica de apreciação, o que aumenta a motivação e o interesse para enfrentar as dificuldades apresentadas (Gomes e Friedrich, 2001; Rieder et al., 2004). ResumoTendo em vista o tema da atratividade da carreira docente, o objetivo desse trabalho é conhecer a avaliação dos recém--egressos do curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas da UFV campus Viçosa a respeito da formação profi ssional na docência e suas pretensões quanto à atuação na Educação Básica. A abordagem da pesquisa é qualitativa e foram entrevistados cinco recém-egressos do referido curso. Quanto à formação profi ssional, os entrevistados avaliaram negativamente as disciplinas específi cas e pedagógicas, e positivamente, as disciplinas integradoras e os estágios curriculares. Em função da precarização do trabalho docente nas redes estaduais de ensino, os entrevistados redirecionam seus investimentos em cursos de pós-graduação, vislumbrando futuramente, atuar como professores nos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia. Embora a formação profi ssional tenha lacunas, as condições do trabalho docente é o principal interventor da pouca atratividade da docência.
