A Base Nacional Comum Curricular, desde seu processo de construção, anunciava-se como documento que ecoaria não apenas no currículo da Educação Básica, mas diretamente na formação docente. Diante disso, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar a atual política nacional de formação de professores: Base Nacional Comum - Formação (BNC-Formação). Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, que tem como aporte teórico o “Ciclo de Políticas” proposto por Ball e Bowe (1992), constituído por cinco basilares contextos, dos quais analisaremos dois: o contexto de Influência e o contexto de Produção de Texto. Constatamos a pressão para a efetivação de um projeto conservador, neoliberal e privatista, em detrimento de educação pública, democrática, gratuita, laica, plural, inclusiva, emancipatória e de qualidade socialmente referenciada, defendida por associações científicas e instituições acadêmicas. Desse modo, fica evidente que a descaracterização da docência, sendo reduzida ao repasse de conhecimento, não constitui um avanço para a profissionalização docente.
