Objetivo: Verificar a prevalência da relação entre a Depressão Pós-Parto e a auto eficácia para amamentar buscando quais são os fatores associados. Métodos: Participaram deste estudo 236 mulheres que tiveram partos nos últimos 12 meses. Utilizou-se a Escala de Depressão pós-parto de Edimburgo (EPDS), Escala de Auto eficácia na Amamentação e um Questionário Socioeconômico e Antecedentes Obstétricos. Resultados: 40,7% apresentaram média e baixa eficácia para amamentar, destas 19,1% apesentaram sintomatologia da DPP e 59,3% das mulheres apresentaram alta eficácia para amamentar. Considerações finais: O estudo identificou, uma prevalência alta de 32,2% de sintomatologia de depressão pós-parto; onde 19,1% desta amostra apresentou níveis baixos de auto eficácia materna para amamentar, associados entre a sintomatologia de DPP.
Objetivo: Identificar a prevalência de sintomas de depressão pós-parto e fatores associados em mulheres que tiveram filhos nos últimos 12 meses de 2019 na cidade de Montes Claros/MG. Método: Estudo exploratório analítico e transversal, composto por 236 mulheres que pariram nos últimos 12 meses de 2019. Para cálculo amostral, adotou-se a prevalência de 20%. Foram realizadas entrevistas domiciliares, e aplicada a Edinburgh Postnatal DepressionScale. Realizou-se análises descritivas e comparação bivariada a partir do teste de qui-quadrado. No modelo multivariado foram selecionadas as variáveis que apresentaram P valor <0,20, incluídas na Regressão de Poisson. Os resultados que foram apresentados em tabelas contendo P valo, β, Exponencial de β e intervalo de confiança (95%). Resultados: Encontrou-se a prevalência de sintomas depressivos em 32,2% das entrevistadas. Pode-se identificar os principais fatores de risco ao surgimento da DPP, como: ausência de parceiro, baixa, renda familiar, baixo nível de escolaridade, menor número de consultas pré-natal realizadas e número de filhos. Considerações finais: Identificou-se, uma alta prevalência da sintomatologia, até maior que em estudos citados neste artigo, não obstante, caracterizou diversos fatores de risco que associados à mulher gestante ou com filho menor de um ano, colaboram para o desenvolvimento da depressão-pós parto.
