In this work densities, speeds of sound, and refractive indices of the binary mixtures involving 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP) with acetonitrile, toluene, 1-pentanol, and 1-hexanol were measured at different temperatures, T = (303.15, 313.15 and 323.15) K over the whole composition range (x AMP = 0−1) and at atmospheric pressure. The derived properties including excess molar volumes, V m E , isentropic compressibilities, κ s , deviation in isentropic compressibilities, Δκ s , and deviation in refractive indices, Δn D were calculated from the experimental densities, speeds of sound, and refractive indices and correlated as a function of temperature using the Redlich−Kister polynomial equation. The excess properties of the prepared binary mixtures were found to be positive, negative, or S-shape curves as a function of the composition of x AMP . The results have been interpreted in terms of molecular interactions and molecular structures occurring between the binary systems.
