Research applying the talking stick cooperative learning model aims to improve the learning process and student learning outcomes in mathematics. The research subjects were students of SMPN 26 Pekanbaru, totaling 40 students. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. The data collection instruments consisted of observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and learning outcomes test sheets. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive data analysis with observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and analysis of learning outcomes. The results of teacher activities and student activities at each meeting showed an increase in the mathematics learning process of SMPN 26 Pekanbaru students starting from the first meeting in the first cycle to the last meeting in the second cycle. This can be seen from the number of students who completed the primary score, namely 14 students from 40 students or 35%, increasing on the first daily test to 22 students from 40 or 55%. Student learning outcomes after the learning process in the second cycle increased to 33 students or 83% in the second daily test.
This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical critical thinking skills for students, as well as the rapid development of information technology in the digital era. This study specifically aims to improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills through the application of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media with 3D unity that can be used in online learning and offline learning based on Initial Mathematical Ability (IMA). Augmented Reality is a technology that combines three-dimensional virtual objects into a real environment and then projects these virtual objects in real-time. While the initial mathematical ability is one of the factors that influence the learning of mathematics, the higher the initial mathematical ability of a student, the better the level of the student's mathematical critical thinking ability. This research is quantitative research (quasi-experimental), while the research subjects are students at one of Pekanbaru's state junior high schools class VII for the academic year 2022/2023, as many as 30 students who are randomly selected by the class. This research was conducted on the material of flat shapes, especially triangles and quadrilaterals. The data collection method used was a mathematical critical thinking ability test. The test result data was processed by statistical tests, including a normality test, homogeneity test and two-way ANOVA test. The results showed that the improvement of mathematical critical thinking skills of students who received learning using augmented reality media with Unity 3D was better than the improvement of mathematical critical thinking skills of students who received conventional learning based on students' initial mathematical abilities.
This study aims to improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes for the Riau Taxation Vocational School students through Learning Cycle 5E (LC5E). This research is classroom action research which consists of 2 cycles. The subjects in this study were students SMK Riau Taxation, totaling 24 people, with 21 female students and three male students. Data collection instruments in observation sheets and learning outcomes tests were collected using observation and test techniques. The data analysis was carried out by analyzing qualitative data for observation sheets and quantitative data for learning outcomes tests. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes. The number of students who achieved the KKM increased in UH 1 and UH 2 from the basic score. The percentage of completeness on the basic score is 45% (11 students) at UH I, is 62.50% (15 students), and at UH 2, 70.83% (17 students). From the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the application of Learning Cycle 5E (LC5E) can improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes in Mathematics at the Riau Taxation Vocational School, especially in arithmetic sequences and series material
