Se presentan los resultados de un estudio que analiza el contenido de informaciones sobre drogas publicadas por el diario El País de Uruguay entre 2004 y 2014, en un contexto político cambiante y con un proceso de regulación del cannabis por parte del gobierno, entre medio. A través de la teoría del framing se identifican los encuadres dominantes presentes en las publicaciones. Se comprobó que, en general, el medio estudiado difunde una imagen negativa de las drogas, dominando en sus publicaciones el género informativo, con textos de poca profundidad y de carácter marcadamente sensacionalista, siendo la policía, jueces, fiscales y políticos las fuentes dominantes, mayormente ligados a temas de tráfico y delito; invisibilizando o minimizando otras voces o posturas vinculadas a la ciencia, la salud o los derechos ciudadanos.
RESUMENFacebook se perfila como el Sitio de Redes Sociales (SRS) más popular de Chile. Son miles los jóvenes que establecen una identidad en este portal con el fin de armar su propia red de contactos y, desde ahí, generan una socialización que afecta directamente tanto su intimidad como su vida socioafectiva.La presente comunicación pretende describir y analizar las motivaciones, usos y consumo que los miembros de la red UCSC Chile realizan en Facebook.com desde una perspectiva cualitativa.Las conclusiones del escrito sugieren que Facebook más que un espacio social, es un producto cultural cuyo consumo a nivel macro se ha convertido en moda. No obstante, la coproducción de contenidos ha tendido a la práctica de «prosumo», pues los usuarios son también productores en este ambiente que prioriza los lazos fuertes y débiles de las comunidades personales. Se investigó de modo empírico la percepción que tienen los españoles sobre la estima, credibilidad y objetividad, prestigio, poder, responsabilidad, control, competencia, formación y nivel ético de los periodistas. Se aplicó telefónicamente un cuestionario de 41 preguntas a una muestra representativa de 1.200 personas. Los resultados confirman que en general, los periodistas gozan de buena reputación en España, aunque existe una percepción más crítica de la profesión por parte de los hombres, las personas más instruidas y quienes se declaran de izquierdas. Son menos críticas las personas de derechas, los mayores, los que tienen menos estudios, las mujeres y quienes leen menos la prensa escrita. The empirical research shown in this article focuses on the views of Spanish citizens about the esteem, credibility and objectivity, prestige, power, responsibility, control, skills, education and Ethics of journalists.The research used a questionnaire composed of 41 questions and was applied by phone to a representative sample of 1.200 people.The results confirm that, as a general rule, journalists enjoy a good reputation in Spain, though there is more criticism coming from men, people with higher levels of education and left-wing people. Contrarily, there is less criticism coming from rightwing people, senior people, people with lower levels of education, women and those who read press less.
