Introdução: O traumatismo de tórax consiste em um abalo físico de forte impacto que causa danos de extensão variada no organismo. Objetivo: Avaliar o perfil epidemiológico e a sobrevida das vítimas de trauma torácico, associados ou não ao politrauma, utilizando os índices de gravidade TRISS e TRISS-like. Métodos: Estudo observacional, prospectivo, quantitativo das vítimas de trauma torácico que deram entrada no eixo crítico de um hospital do estado de Sergipe. Utilizou-se um instrumento com dados fisiológicos e sociodemográficos sobre a topografia e, informações clínicas. Utilizou-se os testes de Mann Withney, de Fisher, Qui-quadrado de Pearson, Qui-quadrado de Pearson com simulações de Monte-Carlo, considerando significativo quando p<0,05. Resultados: Da amostra de 101 pacientes, obteve-se uma mediana de idade de 32 anos, com 84,2% sendo do sexo masculino e 15,8% sendo do sexo feminino, em que 47,5% sofreu acidente de transporte, com pequena diferença entre mecanismo contuso (51,5%) e mecanismo penetrante (48,5%). A maioria dos acidentes tiveram atendimento pré-hospitalar (90,1%), 34,7% foram a óbito e 44% precisou de cuidados em unidade de terapia intensiva. A probabilidade de sobrevida média dos traumatizados foi de 98,4%. As vítimas avaliadas pelo TRIIS-like tiveram uma probabilidade de sobrevida de 98,7%, enquanto as do TRIIS apresentaram 98,4. Conclusão: Constatou-se que a causa predominante de trauma torácico foi acidente de transporte com mecanismos contuso e penetrante equivalentes, nos quais o perfil epidemiológico foram homens, adultos na faixa etária entre 30 e 44 anos. Embora grande parte tenha recebido atendimento pré-hospitalar, a taxa de óbito foi considerável.
Introdução: O trauma abdominal tem uma alta morbidade e mortalidade, e é fundamental que o seu diagnóstico seja feito o mais rápido possível para minimizar as lesões. Com o objetivo de melhorar a qualidade dos protocolos de suporte à vítima traumatizada, são utilizados programas, usando os índices de gravidade. Objetivo: Avaliar o perfil das vítimas de trauma abdominal, com ou sem politrauma, utilizando os índices de gravidade TRISS e TRISS-like, atendidas no eixo crítico de um hospital referência em urgência e emergência do estado de Sergipe. Métodos: Estudo transversal, observacional do tipo prospectivo, com abordagem quantitativa das vítimas de trauma abdominal. Utilizou-se um instrumento de elaboração própria, tendo como base o instrumento de Domingues (2013), que possui questões objetivas com dados fisiológicos e sociodemográficos sobre a topografia e informações clínicas do estudo. Resultados: Da amostra de 42 pacientes, obteve-se uma média de idade de 33,1 anos, com 81% sendo do sexo masculino e 19% sendo do sexo feminino, em que 61,9% sofreu acidente de transporte com diferença entre mecanismo contuso 66,7% e mecanismo penetrante 33,3%. Todos os acidentes 100% tiveram atendimento pré-hospitalar, sendo que 28,6% foram a óbito e 50% precisaram de cuidados em UTI. O grupo TRISS-like teve menor probabilidade de sobrevida que o TRISS (7,1% vs 97,2%). Conclusão: A causa predominante de trauma abdominal foi acidente de transporte com o mecanismo contuso prevalecendo, maior parte homens, adultos, idade média de 33,1 anos. Todas as vítimas tiveram suporte pré-hospitalar e a taxa de óbito considerável.
Objetivo: Examinar a eficácia do uso de dispositivos mecânicos de compressão torácica na redução do risco de doenças transmissíveis a profissionais do Atendimento Pré-Hospitalar. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática, em que foram selecionados artigos no período de 2010 a 2020, coletados nas bases de dados: Cochrane Library, ClinicalTrials, Embase, LILACS, PubMed/MEDLINE e SciELO. Os artigos foram submetidos a análise e tabulação dos dados. Resultados e Discussão: Foram selecionados 13 artigos, agrupados em duas categorias: riscos de doenças transmissíveis para os profissionais do atendimento pré-hospitalar e dispositivos mecânicos de compressão torácica. Os estudos demonstraram que os dispositivos mecânicos de compressão torácica (LUCAS ou AutoPulse) devem ser usados para compressão torácica de pacientes com suspeita ou confirmação de doenças transmissíveis, sendo a principal indicação e devendo ser usado assim que disponível. Conclusão: O uso de dispositivos mecânicos de compressão torácica reduz o risco de doenças transmissíveis a profissionais do atendimento pré-hospitalar durante a RCP. Porém, ainda há a premência de mais pesquisas que busquem contribuir com a redução da taxa de infecção desses profissionais.
