Actually market is subject to constant change which forces organizations to innovate with new strategies that provide greater productivity to maintain a competitive advantage, one of the flexible tools used are Lean systems. However, in most of the improvements registered in these systems, the non-ergonomic elements have not been considered as waste, which have high costs for companies. This document presents an approach to integrating Lean systems with Ergonomics, the main tools used were Value Stream Mapping, SIPOC, Kaizen, REBA Method and NIOSH. As a result, a risk identification was obtained in 86% of the 26 activities of three processes analyzed, mainly by postures, manual lifting of loads and repetitiveness, with the improvements developed, the 25 controlled risks were reduced high to medium or low and obtained an average reduction of 32% in the cycle time of operations, making each process more efficient.
The importance of developing statistical tools in the manufacturing labor field starts from the daily struggle of industrial production processes against variability. The analysis of the measurement system aims to assess the variability associated with the measurement method used in the production process. Considering the instrument (Gage) and the operator that performs the measurement, in order to identify if it can be considered as acceptable. The objective of the research is to evaluate the reliability of the measurement system used in the production line of electronic locks through a Gage R&R study, to reduce the number of defective parts. The production line under evaluation is dedicated to the assembly and manufacture of electronic padlocks, has three inspection stations in which a repeatability and reproducibility study is carried out to obtain as a result the percentage of accuracy associated with the performance of the machine in the measurement system and personnel. The methodology or procedure to be followed for the development of the repeatability and reproducibility study will be carried out as mentioned by Pulido (2009), in the described steps of a short and long R&R study, from which the most relevant and applicable steps were taken. according to the characteristics of the present problem. The contribution of the study is the development of an analysis of the measurement system offers the company the outline of the current situation in a quantitative and qualitative way and allows it to provide a solid basis for the recognition of improvement opportunities that can help to decrease reported defects.
This paper addresses the problem of production scheduling under a practical approach, which seeks to find out what would be the product mix to ensure the company to obtain the most useful, also requires that these combinations of products obtained from quickly and efficiently contributing thus to achieve lower costs associated with production. A specific mathematical model based on integer linear programming applied specifically to the product mix is presented, as well as the results obtained from the practical problem from the use of the model in integer linear programming, the use of the software and considering the own conditions of the problem addressed here.
The purpose of the following project is to measure the level of ergonomic culture of a manufacturing company that is dedicated to the development of cables, fiber optics, cabling systems and related services for the automotive sector and cable systems; To carry out this study, the ergonomic culture questionnaire in work centers (CCE-T) was used as a tool and it was applied to a sample of 26 people between supervisors and managers. This questionnaire made it possible to measure the level of development of ergonomic culture in work centers from the perspective of supervisors and senior management (managers) and to know their perception of the development and application of ergonomics in their company. Therefore,
The present article studies the anthropometric variables of the hand for a sample of 100 working adults whose ages were between 18 and 60 years, located in the State of Sonora, Mexico. In total, 26 anthropometric measures and the maximum grip strength in the dominant and non-dominant hand were considered. A descriptive statistical analysis was carried out for the measurements taken; In addition, a statistical analysis was performed to determine the correlation between the anthropometric characteristics and the maximum grip strength in the dominant hand. It was found that the age group with the strongest grip was 30-39 years with a value of 51.77 kg in the dominant hand.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
