PurposeConceptual model in this paper combines existing scientific knowledge grounded in theories of planned behavior, diffusion of innovation and a unified theory of acceptance and use of technology, while aiming to identify relevant determinants of continuous use of e-learning by employees who used e-learning in the past year at their workplace.Design/methodology/approachThe authors developed and empirically tested the positive impact of professional, personal, IT and environmental factors on the continued use of e-learning among 672 employees across different sectors using the structural equation modeling technique.FindingsResearch results suggest that the most powerful determinant of continuous use of e-learning are personal factors. Environmental influences and technological aspects also exhibit a positive and significant impact on the continuous use of e-learning. Research hypothesis related to the positive influence of professional factors on the continuous use of e-learning has not been empirically confirmed. Also, results demonstrated that continued use of e-learning contributes to better individual business performance.Practical implicationsThe practical contribution is threefold: to companies, education institutions and human resource managers. For companies, identification of key determinants will lead to a better understanding of employees needs regarding continuous job improvements. The findings can be used by educational institutions to design e-learning programs according to results and real value to employees. On the other hand, human resource managers can benefit from this study in terms of getting concrete factors that motivate employees for continuous job improvement.Originality/valueThe research sheds light on the proposed integrated model that tests the post-adoption of the continuous use of e-learning within an organizational context.
Previous research highlighted undoubtedly positive impact of transformational leadership on a wide range of performance, including its follower, individual and organizational levels. However, the focus to date has mainly been on the concept's empirical underpinnings and, hence, the purpose of this study is to present and clarify the intellectual structure of transformational leadership -performance relationship studies. Building on the bibliometric analysis, we have provided the information on publishing trends, the most prolific countries and authors that shape this relationship, whereas term analysis provides a taxonomy for ongoing and recommended upcoming research in the field. The results showed a) the field is under a surprisingly strong influence of a diversified research context along with the focus on the well-recognized and expected Anglo-American region; b) there are five clusters which have been recognized as representatives of the field; c) scarcity of research into sales and managerial performance has been identified which indicates that there is a considerable potential for wide-ranging research in fields of marketing and management in general. In the context of contribution, this study provides a reference to researchers entering this field, as well as guidance for future research.
European Union regional policy has fundamental importance in elimination of existing disparities between regions, making conditions for increasing economic growth and achieving full potential of each region. Common policies have proved to be the most complex area of European integrations, particularly in funding and the allocation EU funds. Bosnia and Herzegovina has the same practice that, as pointed out by representatives of Directorate for European Integration (DEI) and Directorate for Economic Planning (DEP), has not developed regional policy or strategic approach to the funds allocation. Object and aim of this research will be identification of lessons that the EU led, leads or will lead for implementation of regional policy that BIH could use in its further development, especially for the period
2014-2020. The document could be used as development document for DEI and DEP, and as a document that would be used as the basis for further programming of funds (obtaining for period [2014][2015][2016][2017][2018][2019][2020], aiming to regional involvement. The necessary methodology in completing this work encompasses using the historical method, method of analysis and synthesis, comparative method and the actual researches overview enriched with secondary data sources. Primary data sources will be collected through semi-structured interviews with representatives of DEI and DEP, and with other relevant institutions' representatives. EU
